It doesn't happen often but I'm now regretting my contribution to this thread!

 

What have I started....

 

If it's any consolation, I talked to the dudes at King Hideous Toys. They are using Ricky and progress is being made with photographic evidence, albeit slower than anticipated (they were gonna send toys to my show in July but won't be able to make the date).

 

Yeah, we're working with Ricky, like kid_miracleman said. He's actually a super rad dude in person, we've hungout every time I've been to Japan, save the first go. Like what has been covered earlier in this thread, that guy is dumb busy all the time. Between being a dad, managing a pop-idol band that plays minimum three times a week while not touring other Asian countries, AND producing toys, he still hustles. He sleeps like negative 6-hours a night. Admittedly, it's been a slow go, though hey, this dude was one the O.G gate-keeper for years and as such I'm sure is doing as much as he can with all the other priorities he has going on.

He probably could have done a better job with that gatekeeper gig...

 

@bryce_r I meant that he's so busy he never sleeps, and infact is in some kind of crazy sleep deficit. Basically, he's a super busy dude.

Perplexing thread. If you are someone running a business honor that. If multitasking gets to be to much honor that with communication.

Definitely @bryce_r - I keep checking this thread for info about the several toy projects that were abandoned when he "ghosted" so many artists.. instead I'm seeing bullshit about J-Pop bands and other nonsense.

 

Exactly, let's not forget how many people here put there trust in Ricky and his business only to be abandoned without even an explanation. Sometimes investing thousands in wax and molds, not able to receive vinyl and profit off of their investment.

If someone that’s reading this can get in touch with Ricky tell him I want my f*ckin molds. Those that know me know I don’t get angry very often but I’m pretty well pissed over this. All I need to know is the location of the molds and what name they’re under. I have someone that’s a responsible adult and business person that can handle it from there. All I asked for was some communication.

Thank you, I clearly didn’t see that post. I’ve had someone else that deals with Maruyama try and locate them with no luck. I was told I needed to find the name they were under. I know there are multiple locations so I’ll hit up Cory to see if he can help.

 

Actually I just looked back and have already asked Cory about my molds, back in Dec 2017. I also never heard back from him either. I sorta thought that convo (one sided) seemed familiar.

 

That's difficult for him as well, don't remember where that pic is, but it's a room with stacks of molds everywhere. Between Cory working at the factory and doing his own stuff plus festivals, he is a busy dude.

 

Yeah I’m sure. But even a message back saying “sorry dude I can’t help” would be appreciated.
