Better late than never, this one took awhile getting to me thanks to delays caused by lockdown: a few bits and pieces from the talented TikiCo Japan, who makes vintage looking toys either from scratch or by building on old pieces:

 

Thanks ! It’s been a while since I got new books from them. Generally get a couple when I go back to Europe. It’s always a pleasure to see what they are doing and the quality of their print is amazing.

Totally! I'm a sucker for screen printed art books. They really feel like a special piece of art when you can hold them in your hands. I'd say for anyone interested, their "Hospital Brut" books are the best place to start with Le Dernier Cri, since they are compilations of all sorts of different artists. The Evil Moisture one is by a really great experimental musician/visual artist in Paris. Here is a photo of the one I have (taken from LDC website):

 

I hate that caption so much but those Ultras are just beautiful. Are those the Mego toys? I've thought about tracking down Ultraman a few times now.

I’d gotten this zine a little while back when the Creature Bazaar Sad Lil’ Franky dropped. It’s an independent zine full of fantastic photographs from Creature Bazaar’s own Quang Le, titled “Wish You Were Here.” If you’re into colorful, creative and fun zines, I implore you to shoot him a message about obtaining one. Easily, my favorite photo is Cholo ET.

This cool kid duck by Tripper Dungan just landed. I really love cutout paintings. Feel really lucky to have scored this guy.

I have that and the bull- headed version below stuck in storage someplace . . . bought new back-in-the-day!

 

Yeah, I thought it was one of the ones that originally came with a little plastic rider, but i must be thinking of different line. That bull headed one is cool too!

 

My Nan had the purple one in the toy box way back when. Matchbox did some very funky rods and choppers.

 

I visited a silicone mask studio on my trip to LA, had a lot of fun there and came back with this ...

 

TikiCo strikes again



I can't help but rave about the lengths he goes with his packing. It's a craft in itself. Multiple boxes, and the innermost box is always lined with wood.



This time the deliverer left the box outside in a wild rainstorm that lasted for hours, which nearly destroyed the outer box—but this thing was 100% dry.

 

Cold As Life hoodie from the May open pre - order arrived today. Way stoked to have a hoodie from such great, legendary Detroit beatdown, even more so that it’s officially released by the band, which hadn’t been done since before Jeff Gunnels got locked up. Pardon the choice of figure on display. It fit the aesthetic with the graff on the hoodie more than anything.

 

Received a surprise gift in my recent order of a new zine from Cupco, a Cupco-style Ultraman. And yes, the red stripes are made from a kitchen cloth from the grocery store.

The zine has AR pages like some of the Marvel comics from 10 years ago. If you point your phone at the page you get an animation.
