Fuck people on IG chiming in on Brian’s post about anything political, I came here for toys blah blah blah. He can say whatever the fuck he wants. Anything happening with politics will affect everyone, including him. No one should defend or like nazis, fuck off if you do.

 

@IronPaw I absolutely cannot stand people’s idea that someone can’t be politically based because they’re not a politician. I most often times see this with musicians, athletes and comedians. “You’re X, not a politician. So stick to X.” Fuck you. Just because someone’s not a politician doesn’t mean they’re not allowed to have an interest politics and speak up on anything and everything they find distressing and/or concerning. Assholes like to pretend they have a right to censor someone like Brian because they “cAme hERe fOr THe tOYs,” but he, and others, are still people. And they’re allowed to speak their fuckin’ minds.

It gets to me most of all because politics and what happens in that arena affects all of us. It’s not isolated. All the crap with how Hirota prices his stuff only worries us in this collecting scene. Decisions about going to war or not condemning nazis fucks EVERYONE up.

To be honest, I didn’t read the comments on Brian’s post, he deleted them from the original. So I don’t know what was said exactly, but yeah you can’t tell someone that they can’t speak their mind, while you are speaking yours. That’s not how this game works.

 

I was irritated that people were saying go back to posting about toys or I didn’t come here to view political points. Fuck off. And this wasn’t the first time he posted something with the same response. Doesn’t bother me that idiots with Jesus in their profile have something stupid and ignorant to say.

I can't say I'm surprised that there were those types of reactions to his posts. From what I can see, most of Super7 and Brian's followers on social media these days are there for He-Man content. I am imagining the Venn diagram that plots A) Fans of a blond over-muscled ubermensch and B) people that would feel uncomfortable seeing racist views being criticized on social media.

 

My grandmother had a tattoo.

She and millions of others, many of whom perished, were persecuted by men who usurped "Authority" and decided who would exist and who would not.

Some of you may not know much about me other beyond the toy hobby, but I also run the Atlanta chapter of the Satanic Temple. It's an atheistic religion (as acknowledged by the Federal government this year) that promotes bodily autonomy, science, justice and empathy. Membership at the organization at many levels has SOARED. It's ridiculous because people want to put up a fight but also have the community a church provides without all the attached bullshit. So when you see shit with people turning a blind eye towards concentration camps, child sexual abuse, and all the other walking nightmares that is our current "representation", I hope everyone takes a little bit of solace knowing more people are joining the fight.

The idea that it isn't your place to talk about basic humanity at this point because we should all just be staring at toys instead is insulting not only to your intelligence, but your moral core.

So "fuck you" to people who would either turn a blind eye to injustice or just naively demand bread and circus while Rome burns.

 

If you're over 8 years old and act like you don't know how paywave/contactless/tap'n'go (whatever its called in your state) works just because you're too lazy to do it yourself you can eat shit. It's 2019 - stop acting like it's your first time using a credit card you dumb fucks!
