Christmas, fuck it.

 

I enjoy Christmas aesthetics, only Frank Sinatra Christmas music, and what little family I trust and genuinely love being around, but I hate the commodification and societal pressure of consumerism behind it. I don’t even know if I worded all of that correctly.

 

Christmas... ehh this year. dealing with aftermath of a water leak in the home really put a wrench in the chains this year for me. I still made the best of the holiday for what it was worth. I do hate that I will meticulously plan for multiple people what to get or surprise them with, only to not be thought of in the same regard. The key though is to find the happiness in what you are putting out, and not expecting so much on the return end. I get better at it every year. Now if I can only get my wall in the living room put back up

 

Spent six hours cleaning up the mess from our large new year's party today. I wasn't even at home half the night but hey, it's my place, I'll put the work in. At 11pm one of my roommates decided to have a rant at me about how the place is still a mess like I'm purposely antagonising him, and then blew up our apartment group chat about it, while he's done nothing to help out all day. Saw me scrubbing around the kitchen again an hour later and couldn't even look me in the eye.

Anyway, I'm having a great time trying to eke the level of maturity I'd expect from a 25-year-old out of a man in his late 40s. Christ.

 

That would have been the end of my cleaning, and beginning of the consumption of beers while sitting on the couch.

Fuck that guy.

Had a couple of family deaths and scares that sucked . . . but had a couple of the kids successfully graduate.
Had a great year in business . . . but the aches and pains are getting worse.
Seeing the kids make some dumb choices . . . but the 'SOUR' shits and giggles are kinda fun.
Still got dumb fucks running the world . . . but at least they ain't totalled it yet.
On par a pretty balanced year in the Anti Social household!

I've been on the fence about posting this but why not, let's go. I know many people in the hobby have done deals they regret or are less than proud of, but @truslithers stands out for his willingness to exploit noobs who don't know the value of what they own. I got a taste of this a couple of years ago when he offered to trade a black Nekomata with no omake for two $200 Mirock pieces. And of course, stupid thirsty Fresh Meat that I was, I took him up on it because I loved that sculpt. And he sold my half on at a profit not months later. But that's small compared to what I've heard. I know for a fact the Beshimi he's selling for at least $4000, now that he's loudly claimed he will quit collecting, came into his possession because he traded a new Utsugiyo collector for a blank red Flying Freak. And I'm sure with some digging you can find that story underneath almost every hype toy he posts on Instagram.

We all make calls to pass a friend a fancy toy far under what it's worth because you get close in this hobby, and you wanted to make a friend's day the same way someone else made yours. But this gentleman preys on people who are too new to know better, and to me that's utterly reprehensible. It's the equivalent of theft in my books. What's more, regardless of the offense and whatever the evidence to the contrary, he paints himself as the victim. And some cadre of misguided fans believe him, feeding his delusions and giving him the license to do it all over again. So fuck you @truslithers and the horse you rode in on; fuck your acrylic paints and your sophomoric poetry. Please make your money, leave, and don't come back.

justify whatever you do.

When one person throws a whiny I FART A LOT fit at you, then a third person asks about the first in regards
to a trade, is it talking shit to let them know how you acted and what went down? Or when a fourth
comes to you about the initial issue because you pulled the same crap on them? Or when a fifth, in
another country while in a lottery line, asks about your work and why you are doing it to toys they
love? Or a sixth asking about a collaboration you were doing with a toy maker, you closed your
IG and were not responding, why the fuck ask me? Probably because they have heard from even
more people that you've pulled shit on them. Even your buddy coming on here to defend you said
you fuck people over and don't put the pieces together. Thats not an excuse since you sure do know
how to put the pieces together so it fits in your favor.

Since you are supposed to be an "artist", how do you confuse shit talking with people not enjoying
your paint jobs? If I could not replicate your paint jobs and was bummed I couldn't jock your style, I
think that would be shit talking.

But I am an idiot for trading you that doublethink for the Matango you painted. Imagine a collector
thinking your paintjob is cool enough to trade you a really hot toy for it, im such an idiot. Even after
all this time I kept it. I just sent it back to you stating that I still enjoyed it but reminded me of what
a douchebag you and your buddy are.

What I am now most bothered with is you calling Kevin a bully in your post. I can see you calling
Mike, Glenn, and I bullies from you pissy point of view, but Kevin has always been a great solid
collector. If your calling him out, you probably pulled some other bullshit on him and you didn't
like how he responded. So fuck you and your pissy little IG rant. Its your platform of choice since
it lets you present yourself on pedestal when you really belong in the trash.

 

I think I was called out for calling him out on his bad custom paints and using popular artists sculpts like MVH to make mashups and then sell the two creations for ridiculous amounts (years ago on here). I guess you double your profits by Frankensteining toys?
