Can someone provide some info on when the Many Mey event is happening? I looked around a bit but didn't find any concrete info. Hell, I couldn't even find a shop address on Mishka's site.

 

I don't think the shop is actually open yet, hence why no address on site, but I believe its 350 Broadway in Brooklyn, show is Saturday, time I'm not sure on. I'm sure Lamour or Greg will post up final details soon...

 

Just booked my flight and hotel. I'm in...like Flynn.

Does anyone know how to get from JFK into the city using public transportation?

 

You can take the AIR TRAIN from JFK to the A train. The Air train costs $5 and the subway is $2 so you'll be able to get to the city for $7. Hell of a lot cheaper then a cab or bus.

u could always use hopstop.com just in case u want to go sum where else

 

also, Bob...you can take the air train to Jamaica train station and catch the LIRR into Penn Station. I find this easier than the A train ride if I have luggage or don't want a long ride...the ride from Jamaica to Penn (34th st & 7th ave.) is about 20 minutes...depending on where you're going, the A may take you a long time...it costs a little more...maybe $10 or $12 total...but it's still cheap.

there's also the time issue. you can go the cheaper route, however taking the A train does take a long time. the LIRR is nicer

I'd suggest checking out the MTA homepage for any travel advisories. One time I came in from JFK only to find the train wasn't running and I had to take a bus. that sucked some royal ass, especially with a suitcase. This site doesn't give you up-to-the-minute news but you will be able to see if there are any advance closings.
