There are some really nice camera angles in this fight scene. In fact, this is a Big leap forward in the computer graphics department for the Ultra titles. Looks Great! Can't Wait!
Looks interesting. I don't think any amount of CGI will replace the magic of the rubber suits for me but I'll give this a chance just to see some of my favourite Kaiju.
Odd to see our boy Ultra looking a good bit like the Silver Surfer... Suits and miniatures til I die, yes, but I'll join Jared in having a look anyway.
My first thought was "shiny". Tsuburaya looks to be trying to move past the outdated, cheesy but charming cgi special effects formula that the Ultra series has been using for at least 17 years now. No doubt that it's an attempt to appeal to larger audiences and compete at another level internationally than they've been able to for awhile now. I mean some of these shots look like they were pulled directly from Godzilla 2014. I don't think that that's any mistake. I personally think that a live action Ultraman would look better, and although I see what they're trying to do, I wonder if it's a bit too much, computerizing Ultraman. It may end up having the opposite affect than intended. I wish them the best with it though and hope it turns out well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk-Vd3UANPA saw this version of the trailer a while ago. its much better
Eh, I think I prefer it with the military action jam from the original show rather than the theme song. What a weird take on Zagaras that is. I miss all of his little pipes.
