The colors on him are just great. I love they way they did the spines on that sculpt. Wish they would have done a full GID version.
Gah, Those two are so pretty and cool it makes my eyes hurt. That big one is going straight to my wants list. So cool!
Toygraph released some incredible and notably high quality sculpts. I have not seen anything new from them for quite a while. What ever happened to this company?
I really need to put together some decent shots of my small Toygraph family. Here's a few I grabbed from other threads: One day I'll find a crawling baby K... Toygraph M1 M1Go Buta ButaNoHana "US Toys" U.S. Toys" Godzilla "Marusan repro" Antlar Serizawa Mothra larva Baltan Taiya Daimajin Kanegon cocoon
Great pictures David, but that is hardly what I would call a small collection. But, I can easily rectify that for you!
You're killing it with these pictures Chase. It's interesting to me that you took time of from this hobby came back and said fuck it I have all the cool toys I need and just started snapping great pics. I mean I'm sure there are toys you're still after but breaks are great and let you reflect on what you have. I need to do this. I never even knew Toygraph made different sized Gamera. I especially like the tiny one with the red x on the chest.
Haha, it's been great being able to have access to my toys such that I can take pics as I feel like, instead of having most my stuff boxed up and no good set-up for photography. My break was more due to trying to curb my unhealthy compulsive spending than lack of love for Japanese toys, but I am such a collector at heart I think I will always come back to collecting SOMETHING even if it is sometimes a detriment to other parts of my life. The stuff I have been posting the last few days is from the remaining bit I had stored away, so I actually have everything I own in the same place now and I've been able to put together some shots I have wanted to take, but didn't have all the subjects for in the past. Since I hardly posted pics in my first 5-6 years of collecting, I am trying to "catch up" I guess Also I think the board has been stale lately, so rather than complain, I decided I would just contribute more myself.
I took a bunch of pics lately so here are a few figs from my Toygraph collection. Mosu-ra ya, Mosu-ra!!! Two of the cute SD style Mosu-Goji's with Mothra babies: Glowie G'64 from Wonderfest 2003 and Super 7 G'64 exclusive from 2004 And here is a cool retro-styled Godzilla '54 exclusive by ToyGraph for the 2008 Osaka Mandarake store opening.
Yeah I really love the flesh coloured vinyl on any figure, and with the blue paint it comes out really nice. It is a really nice version of the 'poster' sculpt. I didn't realise this one was a Mandarake release, good to know, but probably means it is even harder to find.
I need one of those Standard Size Gameras so bad!! I have decided it is my favorite Gamera sculpt... Prove me wrong!
I don't know, that is a hard statement to make, there are just so many amazing versions of him. Does this mean I can count you out of competition for any future other ones that come up for sale?
A few more from Toygraph: in 2005, they came up with the transforming MechaGodzilla concept as seen in the 1974 movie. Each figure was classified as either 25% or 50% transformed. I think they did a really good job! Wonderfest Show exclusive set Painted Glow release set
This was one of the things I saw in Japan I had the most regret over for not buying. And considering the amount of amazing toys available there, that is no small statement. Anyways, I was finally able to rectify that. Pictures don't do this justice. I fell in love with it immediately - Ultraman? Damn straight. In an action pose? Awesome. Riding Namegon? So cool, sign me up. GID? Wow, bonus. Massive piece of quality vinyl? Hell yeah. Quality maker? We are talking about Toygraph here. Just give it to me already!!!!
