Thank you @Mr Fox !!! :D:D:D The photos and your Zeggy Racer are spectacular! I love the brush marks that make up the red iris. That purplish blue is striking as well -- the metallic purple highlights are the bee's knees! I think you have one of those "end of the line" custom racers that Anthony mentioned:

For reference, this is the standard opaque Zeggy (the one I have)

Your dark red car (that shade of red seems darker than the "standard issue" red cars) also reminds me of Scobot's/Scott's unique Goro Racer

(sorry, I don't know how to embed Flickr images )

You definitely have a jewel! Thank you for taking the time to take and post those photos!:dam:

These are all so fun. Do any of them have a lower half aside from Zegoran?

You’re very welcome @Mr. Humphreys - it is always nice to chat about these great little, wheeled, Kaiju.

The red of my Zeg’s car is definitely richer than the standard red cars; it would be almost impossible to photograph but it seems slightly deeper and more brilliant (obviously as hard to describe as photograph :D) but there is a difference.

It would be nice to think that he is one of the ones Anthony mentioned because it makes it feel like a bit of Toygraph history; however, even if not, it is a great sculpt, nicely painted and one of my favourites amongst a collection that I find hard to pick favourites in because they all have something special to like.

Looks like someone let go of their collection to mandarake. Too high for me, but hopefully someone with extra xmas money filled a hole in their collection with 1 or 2.

Thank you - I've had some luck when hunting but also help from some other Sb'ers

The issue is two fold, finding them and price - the rarer versions have increased in value massively and even the more common versions are vastly higher than they were a decade ago, let alone when they were first released.

Currently, the ones I know of are: the three on eBay (USA), one on YJA (Mu Diver) and a green Goro with orange car via a third source.

A bit of a thrift store mystery (my sister is in S. Korea for 2 months, a surprise)! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
So these Racer pieces are definitely Toygraph. Could this possibly be a late custom Racer? Blue with metallic body silver and gold front highlights, painted on flesh vinyl. Or is it just a racer car with a separate Zegoran figure? Price was $80 USD
    @Mr Fox !

Yes that's true! :) But this Zeggy's connective flashing is extra thick, so it needs to be trimmed to fit into the car and legs. It seems unusual that a Racer figure's flashing hadn't been trimmed yet? Also from what we've seen so far, the car colors for Zeggy's are clear, orange, and Mr. Fox's and Scobot's extra special custom red. This one is a black car (no blood spatters!).

p.s. But then again, I have a late custom Matango with a white #10 car (not the traditional blue #10 car or plain black car)

@Mr. Humphreys the Zeg looks very similar (paint wise) to my stand-alone Zeg, even down to vinyl colour (iirc). Unfortunately, he is currently tucked away and I cannot access it to take a photo.

The top half of the body your sister found, as you said, looks untrimmed. Would be interesting to know the story behind it: left overs from the Toygraph workshop when it was disbanded?

Whatever the case, a fun find.

and, Happy New Year to one and all.

I have 2 of the flesh with blue paint zegs, don’t kill me for hoarding. They didn’t come with the car. Someone probably mistakenly packaged the figure and another car together.

Thank you @Mr Fox , @michael , and @JoeMan :) I appreciate your help! Looks like it's a stand alone Zeggy with an extra car body! I am having lots of fun playing with the car and putting Buta and Amapro tops as drivers :D
