This frankenbat and I were the thing of nightmares to horse flys one summer. We parted ways after I was chasing 1 once, swung the bat around, and SMASH there goes the garage window. I didn't see frankenbat again after that. Though I was soon introduced to "Mr, Leather" (Dad's name for his belt).

I don’t however I’m hoping real soon I will. His most recent Bat MotherFucker hits a home run in my book (pun intended) I’ve been a huge fan of bat Mother from the start however could not get into some of the earlier paint apps for it and each lotto I just couldn’t afford. But loved the homage to madball Esqu baseball/whiffle bats I remember having when I was a kid. I collect the old vending machine hard plastic madballs and have a nice display of love to get one of these next to. This most recent Ver 4 is absolutely stunning. It kills in all aspects! I’m having a pretty lucky year so we will keep the fingers crossed and hope I can follow up with a win.
Well as promised if I came up, witch I did, I can’t say enough about this piece in entirety. So gnarly cool. I’ve been after a vintage monster bat for a long while but couldn’t see paying 3-400 for one that was as beat up as it could be. I’ve been watching Takashi release these and I couldn’t get on board with some of the paint apps but really loved the idea of this bat having all of the variation of the different vintage ones all in one. Now having it in hand is just amazing. And the paint. Damn this version is tops. Spoiler: View from the couch

Not trying to stir you up, just saying that in advance so you don't get sore. Just a critique, not an attempt to burn....... I don't feel this has any connection to the source material whatsoever. It hyper aggressive and the paints look nothing close to vintage era IKB. Nobody does IKB tributes better than Yoda, hands down- in style, context and texture. That beat to shit Smogon looks great tho!
Is it supposed to be? When I look at the photo on the right...it doesn't look like an IKB tribute. Beyond the orange vinyl, I just don't see it.
If you compare it to a pristine MIB Smoggie then I think the similarities are a bit more obvious... but yes it is supposed to be a tribute, not an exact imitation of the paint.
That Smogon appears to be a paint variant, since the windshield is red, not blue. Hukkokudo released a reproduction in these colors, but I didn't realize it was based on a vintage figure. Pretty interesting. No comment on the other toy.
Anyone win? I entered because of my love for orange vinyl, I have so little. Also for the love of FFF.
Perhaps a green band around the thumb might have made the intentions more clear? Speaks volumes, heh.

It has the right level of cute, and i like the chunky antenna and stepped pincers. Those guts look good as well.
Guts are always a fun idea. Otherwise I like this one a lot less than the previous release. Sticking three eyes on Garamon and feeding him Big Macs until he grows arms might be a bit derivative, but it looked cohesive and retained some of the inspiration's derpy charm. This is like, Kanegon from someone who doesn't get why Kanegon is a fun design. He's noodly! The eyes and limbs and shit are lanky and squishy and weird! So why diminish that with a chunky body, and pull my focus to the center with a mono eye?
