Don't worry we haven't forgotten about Europe and Canada. We only have 7 people on staff so we need to get the domestic stuff working 1st. Stay tuned! The hope is better distribution will stabilize the market by providing wider access for new releases. You are probably right about the older figures, buy them while you can. We probably shouldn't add any new stores to the distribution list right now. We need to get this up and running properly 1st. Coordinating releases at multiple independent shops is no small undertaking. However, if you have a local shop that you think might work please send me any useful info: glenn@super7store.com because we do hope to add more shops to the distribution network in the future.
The prices will be the same at all the shops but shipping and taxes will obviously fluctuate. The questions is just to vague to answer: what shops and what toys? The whole purpose of this is to provide better access and to spread the release day fun around the country.
Off the top of my head I can think of - Span, Grumble Toy, Kung Fu Toys, myplasticheart, ningyoushi. These guys sell Gargamel, Rumble Monsters, Charactics, SB... Just wondering whether this will continue or whether this product will only be available through S7 and its partner stores in the future?
haha, you're lucky. Still have to drive 4 hours south, but my band plays in tucson so often it won't be a big deal. I'll surely come down if it's a crazy release. At least it's in the state!
No worries . . . I fully understand the logistical nightmare to get everyone pulling together domestically without Int'l involvement to screw it up! My comment was more in the short term. Ordering from S7 is currently the best/easiest it's ever been (nod to Josh) . . . given they (now you) are getting the lions share I guess it should be. To then distribute a similar number of toys around the US is kinda sounding like S7 might just about get enough stock to cover SF . . . maybe Cali interest at best! Not bitchin', progress is good, . . just thunkin' out loud!
Now does this go for regular releases or for all figs ?? Now say will TT get S7 specials and say Junk Spot , and festival stuff ( This is RxH wise ) Or say even Rebel ink releases ?? I'm sure it will also have to do with what the store decides to sell. But just curious if they will have access to ALL releases that Japan will see.
i just hope this doesnt kill off all the cool exclusives like the boxing day galtan, the ningyoushi gargadeath etc.
Awesome expansion for S7! I am sure this will make it easier for most of us to get our goods. Sounds great.
this brilliant scheme smells of the Pogue brainchild. I can just imagine what the meeting of this network looks like. The Japanese Vynil Toy Store Summit.
they all met on an island in south pacific, To have the floor you had to be holding the Frankenrouges boot. everybody was dressed up like kid hunters. Brian was dressed up like the cap'n. there was a potato sack race. Glenn won. photos up soon.
Lash - we are set to receive any and all regular releases of every sort. Festival figures are regular releases. Junkspot releases are usually regular releases. Special event or shop exclusive items, like the recent RxH runs of 15 we will not get, as they were shop thank you items, not production releases, and Patchi Kaiju items we will not get, but everything else is a yes across the board, and everyone is on board. HMS - This won't kill the exclusives, just manage them so the shops are working together and not against each other. Otherwise you get 16 Damnedrons in 2 weeks. You know what I am talking about.
Does this mean all international distribution of all figures from the listed vinyl companies will route through Super7? Or does it just mean Super7 will act as a distributor for a certain number of retailers? The reason I'm wondering is because smaller toy stores around the world sell kaiju from time to time, though they don't carry every figure from any one company. Edit: Second question answered. Bit of simultaneous posting going on. Thanks for the 411.
stuff will still make the websites...so texas is covered. when I found out about this, I was just thrilled that companies like Cronic and Anraku will be easier to get for those of us who want it...so those of us who "cannot be on the list" now can get them... I can't see any downside to this...and I have to give a big shoutout to Brian for his hard work in putting this together...someone had to if we were going to get more toys...and this seems like the most democratic way to do it...
There really needs to be some where that sells "New Kaiju" in San Diego, there are plenty of stores I could name but I'm not sure which ones would fit. SDCC isn't enough for me.
Andy - we will announce the international store next week -it is still sorting out. Needless to say there are a couple Euros stuffed in there.
I noticed that some of the recent Pushead releases are not regular releases... will you be recieving all of the new releases, or will those continue to be only available through "other sellers"?
