POINTS! I've always just imagined that they turned the suit inside out and went at it with cans of expired spray paint.

Uggghhhh tomorrow's WonFes Sunguts big Shins are in clear red (standard) and clear purple (awakening) and it's fukkin' killing me.
I actully had a friend go, and I know I could have probably asked him to get me one, but it was a matter of budget and also I didn't want to ask him to haul one of those giant things back in his luggage on his trip back to Osaka :/ If I didn't have one of each the standard and awakening versions already though I would have been an ass and asked him to do it anyway
Since getting my Sunguts custom Sofubi Man about a year ago, I've wondered at the origins of the skull head. Until @kid_miracleman posted his Five Points kaiju set recently. These guys have removable heads, with a little dude hiding inside: I looked for a different photo since Chris' set was in the sale forum. You can make out the skull on Yomira, the middle kaiju, in this photo from ToyCon UK: What's interesting to me is that the skull on Yomira is only half-exposed. If the internal heads are separate pieces then that's that, but if they are part of the body mould, then Sofubi Man's skull becomes a little more interesting. Edit: judging from other photos, I think it's part of the body. So could it be the case that the sculptor produced a full skull, and Sunguts used a cast for this custom and cut it in half for the vinyl? Anyone who's taken apart their Yomira, feel free to check up
oh man, just saw this toycon uk picture, and I didn’t realize Sunguts had done breast deities in clear, or brown with dark nipples... more for the wants list it’s seems.
His new shark sculpt is so great. The neck allowing different poses is awesome. Can't wait to get my hands on one.
Sunguts appears to have thrown their hat into the Amabie craze. I absolutely love this interpretation.
Finally got around to taking some clear photos of this little Sunguts goodie. I really have developed a strong fondness for metallic powders in translucent vinyl. Same basic idea as glitter vinyls, but the particles are extremely small. The vinyl on this figure is like a semi-translucent gray, but the metal flake is green. Creates a really neat effect that changes a lot depending on the lighting. Something about it is almost iridescent. This figure is extra cool because of Sungut's inspiration was the 'HōnenGyo' (豊年魚) or 'Fish of Good Harvest'. A massive amphibious creature that would appear in rivers during times of bountiful fishing. Sort of a good-luck omen for fisherman along the river. A detailed scan of the Edo period illustration that the toy is based on. It depicts events said to have occurred in 1866, when a strange fish was discovered on the bank of the Yodo River in Osaka.
