ill be getting kof and tekken for sure. i love the tekken games. as for tatsunoko vs capcom.....that game was fun for a little while but it got boring.

stealth, awesome sticks man. the TE stick is awesome. ill post pics of my sticks when i get them back. ones out for repairs and the other is out of commission for now. im considering installing the ctuthlu board on both of my sticks so i dont need a converter for the ps3

Wow, sticks out for repair? You must be doing some mad gaming.

I have used a MAS Systems stick with a dreamcast, ps2, xbox/360, hookups for years, and the Happ stick and sanwa buttons have stood the test of time.

And I am defintely getting KOF 12 in July.

I also had a blast playing Blaz Blue in Nakano Broadway when none of my fellow Skullbrainers were looking. :D

i was using the sanwa flash on the stick thats getting repaired. theres something wrong with the laser or something because it keeps forcing me to move right when im holding on down. my friend is taking a look at it to see if he can fix it. the stick is a modified namco stick. all sanwa parts.

my other stick is a custom built stick with all korean parts. i wired everything to a mas PCB that was compatible with both the ps2 and the dreamcast. im not too sure why this isnt working anymore. im going to try to change out the board and convert it to be a ps3 stick

i got a few other sticks too. i dont know why but for some reason i just started collecting joysticks. im still not as bad as my friend mark. hes got about 70 joysticks? maybe more. hes also the dude that designed the SF sticks for madcatz

the TE stick comes with an octoganal gate for the stick? i thought it was the square gate like all the hori sticks. if this is the case, you can just pick up the square gate from lizard licks or something. theyre fairly cheap. i might have a square gate if you want to try it out.

will be getting blaze blue and kof, but these are all just a prelude for tekken 6, after which it will probably be the only game i'm playing for the rest of the year. i have been playing the hell out of sf4 though. after failing to unlock akuma after a super cheap seth match i kinda put it down, but i still play it and midnight club a lot online. my psn is: paperthief

i wanted to do my own custom stick, but i think that's probably the last thing i need to get involved in with all the bike parts/tools/paint/supplies/electronic equipment i already have in my apt. but once the crazy price inflation on joysticks goes back down, i may pick up a hrap3 off ebay and swap in some sanwa parts.

man my one regret was not getting the hrap3 on amazon before or the same week SF4 was released. it was 89 or 99 shipped with no tax. now theyre around 150-200 if youre lucky.

Yup, my bad, the TE has a square gate as well. It's just a bit wider than the HAPP stick (and HORI sticks) I'm so used to.

Yea, he's actually pretty fun to use.
But having the CPU continuously throw me until I die is no fun.

its not too bad. i shouldnt buy another joystick although im considering dual modding my hrap 1 so itll work on both the 360 and ps3.

Those HRAP3s were popping up randomly on Amazon for a week or so...I did the exact same thing and slept on em and then lost out.

I caved in and bought a slightly overpriced HRAP2sa and a PS3 adapter...
I also had ordered an HRAP3sa for a great price through amazon.jp through Celga but they screwed me over and didn't order it in time. Now they're keeping my money saying I have to wait for it as it is now a preorder due in May?!

So right now I can't play since I could only use a DS3 which tears apart the thumbs quite severely after one session. Not to mention it sucks for a 2D fighter.

    Oh...definitely getting KoF & Tekken

I haven't played SFIV in a really long time, but whoever is on PSN feel free to add me, my PSN ID is Cococroc

Here is my stick collection, it's small, but definitely will be growing:

And here's a closeup of that custom, it's a Norris Arcade Sticks case with a Cthulhu PCB, the buttons and balltop that I want for it aren't in yet (Lizardlick is taking forever), but I think Shannon did a really nice job of painting the case to match the artwork. It's going to have a Seimitsu LS-56 and Sanwa buttons, but right now it's a Sanwa JLF with Octo Gate and Seimitsu buttons.

Sorry for the pictures, our camera is out of order.

    aaron,

does that cthulu board work well? im going to be picking one up for my korean stick. is it easy to install?

nice custom stick too dude. those norris boxes are made really well. great quality work. shannon did a good job painting it too.

is your TE stick the 360 version? i heard of people added the cthulu board 360 TE stick so it would be compatible with both systems. awesome way to mod the stick so you dont need two of them.

joe, are you playing on ps3? if so, we should get some matches in

if anyone wants to play just add me. my psn id is pharcyde. just leave a message mentioning that youre from SB or something and ill accept the friend request.

Yeah the Cthulhu board works great, and it's super easy to install, pretty much all you need is 22-26 gauge wire (stranded or solid doesn't matter) and quick disconnects for the buttons if you don't want to solder.

My TE stick is 360, I'm afraid to open it up while the warranty is still active, but when it's over I'll probably dual mod it and change the buttons and artwork and stuff.

ahhh snaps. no soldering? it should be easy to convert my hrap1 to ps3 then.

your norris box has 3 buttons on top right? so its start, select, and home? do you know if theres anyway to hook up the home button to something else? i heard theres a way to wire it so you press start and select for home but no one really explained how to do it

Yeah the Norris box has 3 button holes on the top.

Here is what it says on the Cthulhu Welcome Document:

hi everyone long time no chat.

i just upgraded the free championship upgrade for SF4. i was really excited to play but realized that once I upgraded it asked me to start a new save profile. once i confirmed i tried to play online for ranked matches and the new championship matches but it says i cannot connect.

i am not sure what's going on. it could be the servers here a messed up in hong kong. or the upgrade cut my connection to any server. i still have all my saved profiles and current ranked match points so I don't see any problem with the new profile.

now my sf4 is boring because i can only play against the cpu...
let me know if you guys can upgrade successfully but i guess being in hk is a different matter?
what a bummer since its a friday night!!!

I just started playing again this week after not even touching the game for a month, and I have somehow become better (although I wasn't that good to start out). The new Championship Mode is pretty nice. If anybody wants to play against Guile a million times, my XBL name is PITY FOR NONE.
