strange or rare yahoo auctions post here (after theyre over)

Not strange or rare but I got scored a bootleg devilman for 130 and am pretty excited.

 

Hi Steve, now that you mention about the bargains, the only one who has that luck is Lixx; because he has been lucky enough to grab a few.
Do you believe that this tendency of high prices at auctions, will continue or will come a time it stops?
Or maybe one day we will be like in the seventeenth century in the Netherlands, with Tulipmania and his speculative euphoria.

Wednesday (currently in air). My post above is pretty lame. It's reminds me of when people post a picture of a bagged toy and say..."I just got this..I'll take pictures when I open it up." I'm always thinking...just open it up and take a picture. Anyway..my excitement got the best of me.

I know they were supposedly pretty dirty, because they didn't bother cleaning out the molds, so they would get leftover bits of vinyl in them.

In the description of the product says that it is made of fluorescent material and glow with black-light. I think that is the most rare in this bootleg.

 

Anyone know what the patchi devilman with removable mask went for? I forgot to save the auction.

Yes!! Thank you. I've been looking for that version. Didn't think it would end for that much but alas was wrong.

 

It is one of my favorite pieces, but really did not think it would end at that price. I have seen some in their original packaging that have been sale for less, but it is very common in auctions that prices vary so much.

Ok, this M1 Godzilla Trike ended at 50,000 JPY. Why was this so expensive? I imagine it was a special colorway? Love those metallic stripes and the cobalt chest splashies!

 

^ It was a Monster Labo shop exclusive release. But still the ending price is ridiculous. None of the M1 trikes are valued at that much. They have gained some interest recently this year on some Godzilla Facebook forums. In April of this year M1 had a booth at Monsterpalooza show held in CA. They had some of the older Godzilla trikes for sale which I assume were unsold releases from back then. Since that show there has been interest in tracking down other M1 Godzilla trikes from collectors.

Ah! Thanks Deevis--and Chimply (just saw your post!). It's a gorgeous color, perhaps that metallic and color variation accounts for the hefty price tag? I wonder how hard it is to find that version. Chimply, thanks for adding the comment for pricing, I wasn't sure if it was justified or not.

Ok, one more... I had to do a double take when I saw this Aoshin Speed Racer car! Ended at 41,700 JPY. Do you remember the Speed Racer cartoons? You guys are probably too young!

I thought this was interesting piece. I like the design. All it needs is a body. I know there are toy makers that like to take existing ideas and put a spin on it. This should be one of their projects. Someone bought it from Mandarake for 27,000円. Was made in China.
