I was watching this too. I was more surprised by the fact that a MIB one only got one bid a few weeks ago and sold for 40000.

 

Wasn't even close on that Ragon.

 

I love coming and checking out some of the crazy stuff that gets posted and was wondering...what section on YJA do these sorts of figs typically appear? I'm on YJA a lot checking for other stuff and will cruise through a Bullmark or M1 search just for kicks without any intent on buying, but I never see the crazy stuff like I see here.

Do you guys typically look for specific items or is there a 'sofubi' general category I've missed until now?

Thanks for posting the link to Roger's references. This opens up the Japanese market for me. I hate to think how many times I've hit the language barrier when trying for a piece. Now I at least have a chance!

 

NP the list is tailored to that site so you can find secret base and RxH but new toy companies are not quite so easy to find unless you ask around. I've found some real steals about 400 pages into the sofubi category.

Congrats atease! After seeing these I had to look into the characters to see who they were. Looks like a fun show. So did they make the other Sea Cucumber gang members also (hera hera and shiku shiku)? Is Munro one of the rares that you mentioned?

 

From what I have been told by some of the long time vintage guys, this is the whole set of them in the photo.
The Jellyfish named To Ro ro and Badger named debura were not made. I think there is only one sea cucumber. (guys chime in to correct me if I'm wrong)

The two elusive ones for me were Munro the pink walrus and Chonbo the squash.
Chonbo has shown up somewhat recently, but getting them all in one shot was really great.
