What a fantastic score! I can't wait to see you complete the Triton of the Sea Collection!

congrats, very very nice score! those pieces that went recently seems very reasonably priced!
yes, the feeling of being able to get something after waiting so many years is indescribable.
"umi no toliton" is called "triton from the sea" in english?
a complete set of this series came up recently in a tokyo shop. interesting to see that the figures are as expensive today as compared to 10 years ago.

Congratulations on the win, vintage. I think finding something that was a previous missed opportunity is one of the most gratifying feelings in collecting. I don't really know how to express that more coherently.

I saw a few of these in Mandarake recently; the style and color schemes are really striking in person. Good luck with the last one.

I did see this radiant blue guy on JPY! Congratulations on your new toy. Can you please tell me a little about this character? I've been wondering about him. Thanks!

Nice score, Jim, but you could have saved a few bucks and got this guy with a Neronga body. Somebody actually paid nearly $50 for this.

Crazy "Hawaii" version of Bullmark's Antlar went up to a grand, although it looks like it was pulled early (someone may have made an offer for more). Like some of the other Hawaii Bullmarks, it was cast in flesh vinyl and completely painted over.

Funny to see this coming from a Japan auction...

oh man, is that antler amazing - I just hope it was legit and not a 1991 flesh bootlegged painted. That said, wow, I could use an OG like that!

It was listed as a "questionable" Yonezawa, can anyone confirm this, and any info on the toy (when made?) would be appreciated. Thank you

It is by Yonezawa. Check this thread for more info and some good pix: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=27106&hilit=yonezawa
What did it end at? I forgot to bookmark it and gave up after it reached 20,500 Yen.

    Nice Tim!
That figure has so much character...crude, cartoony yet stylish in it's own crooning way.

Thanks Ralph! I've been after one of these for a while now and felt it was time to take the plunge. The last couple I've seen at auction ended much higher so I'm pleased this worked out.

It's hard to tell from the pics how much original paint is left, but from the close-up it looks to have just the right amount of "patina".
I can see your attraction towards it Tim. It's so textural like so many other great pieces you have and it'l be a killer addition to your collection.
    OUTSTANDING!

Nice score! I think it looks real nice. IIRC when I ran the text through a translator it said something about "break near nose see 3rd picture" but I couldn't see anything wrong with it. I remember when I started collecting you could not give patchi kaiju away even the Yonezawa stuff and the IKB Hedorans. The smart people were grabbing them up then and now the rest of us are paying much higher prices.

I ran a translation on the auction as well and did pick up on the reference to the nose. I'm ok with a crack - missing limbs are another matter.

I wish I had started my hunt for some of these a long time ago too. I'm still after a vintage standing Hedoran myself actually.

Was wondering how much this one would be going for.
Would love to see better pics once it gets in.

    Just wanted to share mine.
His left arm is a bit busted but scored him at a great price.

What I want to find is a better condition Gamegon!

I'm waiting to find these at a flea market in a cardboard box. ;P Nice score Tim! Maybe the blurry photos helped to keep the price in check...

The Gamegon rules Joe. I'd love to own one of those too. I think the scales(?) are what make that particular sculpt a favorite of mine.

Saw that "questionable yonezawa" auction; nice score! Very clay-like, hand-sculpt look to it. Am consumed with the most benign possible jealousy. Congrats!
