Hey guys, I'm always sad when fans and friends don't score. I was initially worried this run wouldn't even sell at. Biggest CK run yet, aside from the open orders. I guess I really underestimated the frenzy MVH would cause. I'm not accustomed to anything like this, MVH is on a whole other level than anything I'm used to.
Your not far off Joe.........CK is on the rise. I see big things for SPLURRT in the future. I have been collecting for about 6 years now, and your toys have moved into the forefront of my collection, and what I choose to go after. This is great stuff! Congrats! I can not wait to get these in with my other SPLURRTZ. Thanks again for an amazing run.
Cause there was no hype on the Forrest Diggler. Toy hype = toy sales. This time the product is worthy of the hype though.
Hey Joe, we really appreciate your efforts. Considering the comparable size of the other recent collab runs, there isn't any way you could have foreseen this. Inevitably, with any release, there are those that miss out. But that's part of what has been so fantastic with CK lately. You've offered up the little guy to so many other great artists to work on that there has been a lot of superb offerings, so those who miss out on one, have a shot at another. And despite all our moaning, we all know more will be coming soon too. What I am trying to say is, sure, some people are always going to be dissapointed, but don't feel like it is anything due to you. It's like the feeling you get when you open up a gift on Christmas morning only to find it's a General Madine action figure, instead of the Luke Stormtrooper you asked for - you don't love your parents any less. I love Splurrt, and by these recent sales I am not alone, and we owe it all to you. Thanks Joe!!!
I just had to buy a new macbook p, so I didn't really have money to spend on these today, but hyping these on the board, "15 minutes to go" most likely kept them out of the hands of more than a few board members. I think everyone here interested in these knew what time they were dropping. Isn't it an unspoken rule to keep drops on the DL until after they're done? Maybe it's just naive to think that this board still has an effect on the outside sales of toys. Also am I seeing things, or is that Cadaver Kid at Foe painted by DLUX? In other news I just got my first Diggler a couple days ago, and it's fricken sweet. I've totally been missing out on something great with these guys. I always loved the way they looked, but in hand they're 100x better.
all kinds of hysteria on the splurrt thread lol good times great release stoked on the success Joe you deserve it and Rich way to kill it on this release man
My bad if me saying 15 mins till the drop messed up the chances of you guys getting these....I was just trying to remind some people if they forgot. But the drop time was announced a couple of days ago.....I didn't know i wasn't supposed to do that. This board is alot different than other boards I have been on, sorry again just getting used to alot of the rules......I wont do that anymore. Although I don't think me saying that attracted the 3,000 views/refreshes to the site. I think this was a big release and alot of people were told about it through newsletters, toy news sites, and this thread.
I doubt you saying 15 mins really had a bi effect compared to it being posted on big blog sites... I mean it is what it is... Everyone knew the drop... Everyone had the shot at F5ing... You win some, you lose some... And I lose plenty to know what that feels like
i hear that ecko we are all always hunting something out of our grasp my primary collection for the longest time was my pushead stuff and i still have yet to see a rebel captain in person let alone touch one...sad. but thats the TOYLIFE!
No worries, this was public knowledge that was posted in this thread by the makers of this toy. Some people just feel the need to be SB police for everything. As for 3000 refreshes, think about the 100+people hitting refresh 30 times. Missing out on toys is part of the collecting game. You move on to the next release.
From New York to Chicago, the Windy City Cadaver Kid is being released June 1st. Joe did an awesome job on these and I'm really excited about this release!
