Great glowies, guys! Lots of good photos. Mark, I don't know how I missed your posts, but... HOLY CRAP!! Amazing! Love the stickers too - really add to the effect. I'd love to just bask in their glow for an hour or two.
I wonder whether Amber, or Brian's family, know that SB is still honoring his memory here (in the ONLY way he would approve) now, >8 years after his death on 2.10.08? Here's to you Brian ... Gone, but not forgotten. CC
Lovely glow shot Rei, and such a nice figure. Dodongo really stuns with his colours and that classic Bullmark sculpt. This. So much this. Goshdarnit, when did this room suddenly become so very dusty? I deeply appreciate the sentiment, and echo my own thoughts. Glow love will continue his legacy here. Thanks for everything Brian, here's to you.
Simply beautiful man. B-Club glowies are certainly right up there in my books, and I think that duo is prime example of why. Such a wonderful touch of paint highlighting them, in the lustrous vinyl. And that green aura, wow man, look at them glow! Wonderful shot Rei!
Man, that is a lovely photo. Really shows off the amazing skill of the sculpting and Joe's subtle paint highlights. It works so wonderfully as a GID toy, even though he is already really sweet. Love the remarkable reflection you captured too.
Thank you both, Ultra and Boon! Glow shots can be frustrating as hell, but super fun when you manage to retain both the glow and details. All of Joe's sculpts have so much great texture, so it was a challenge. I'm glad I somewhat did this Walker justice!
^ Agreed! Excellent capture! Went outside just before sunset to snap a few more of these guys. The light this time of day is low enough to give them a sort of "day glow" look.
PS I really gotta sort out my camera settings.. I love the vibrancy you guys are getting in your glow shots. Do you have any tips?
Looks like you just need to up the ISO setting a tad to me . . . I do 15 second shutter at ISO 80. I use the Macro function, too. You can also brighten them up in photoshop . . . like this.
Thanks Moog Gonna try that out tonight - I was messing around more with exposure settings rather than ISO.. Looking forward to seeing the results!
