Keronia is one of Kiyoka's (Gargamel) favorite critters, if that's telling you something.

 

So it seem cooperate between gargamel / buta such as thrashman and some gargamel dcon release too?

 

A buta version with a suit is what we need!

 

I think Buta has the best Woo as well

They are in another case, this is only one. Have to reorganize all the cases to fit the new dinos and other little monsters in . Just starting to take the little critters out now to see how I can rearrange things. They are all happy about getting a bath and some R&R

Thanks to my friend who is a carpenter, he squeezed in two more shelves per case (that's a lot of room for more toys!). You can see the top two shelves are made of wood, which he cut from jobsite fir scraps (i.e. free stuff!). New shelf pin holes were drilled on the side to maximum Buta shelf stuffing (3 rows per cubby!). He even cut wood risers from scrap 2x4's and 2x2's). You don't notice the wood risers or wood shelves when you are looking straight on

p.s. for those of you who've asked why there are doubles of certain Buta critters, it's because some of them have special tasks to do, aro und the house ...



Hubbee requires regular vacuuming to keep his fur looking tip top! Yes, he really does get vacuumed in real life (Emma too!), which they enjoy, and minimizes shedding and hairballs!

p.p.s. The two purple Dustmen (third cubby from the top, middle row) are something of a mystery. The darker purple Dustman on the right is clear vinyl, while the brighter purple guy on the left is opaque vinyl. Not sure why, perhaps one is a test toy? Does anyone have a purple Dustman, and is your toy clear or opaque?

 

Very cute, and you are very allowed to army build. We are all just... very jealous.

 

He's part of a set from Mr. O's first lucky bag (the cloth bag with cutouts of Kemlar parts, that you sew together and stuff with poly fluff, to make a soft plush Kemlar). Lucky bag came with pink Kanegon, yellow ultra, green ultra, and two surprise minis). No, I didn't cut up the cloth bag, just couldn't do it! I was really lucky to start collecting Buta, a year after they first came out. They were much easier to adopt then, no one knew what they were! And those Buta dinos just sat around forever online and in stores, waiting to get adopted! When Kaiju Taro went out of business, they were selling those OG small cave people sets for $39!

I’ve stayed far away from Buta for the past decade. I didn’t have the money then, I don’t now, but after getting a few I totally get what the big deal is.

 

Those early Buta days were pretty easy if you wanted anything. I picked up early Dino set from Grumbletoy when they had an online shop. I traded for it since it was just languishing there. I used to have loads of Buta sitting in my shop too. Not too many people cared. Butanohana is a rare instance where I don't mind that it's become too popular. He's worked a really long time for it.
I saw my weirdo Thrashman on your shelf. Quite honored.

My guess is that they were different releases. I used to have a purple dustman and it was the opaque variety, but I've seen other clear ones in the past too.

 

Ah, those were the days. I used to buy Buta from Grumbletoy often. I remember even buying some dinos straight from the butanohana online shop because they just sat there. That being said, I wholeheartedly agree with you, Bwana: Ohashi-san has more than paid his dues and I am very happy to see him being acknowledged the way he is. His toys are still the best imho.
