His left nut can stay where it is. The Mirock stuff's all gone . . . shipped out today for pastures new!
Damn, my nuts hasn't seen this much action since the honeymoon. Sadly, that was also the last time. Offer still stands for a Mirock and only a Mirock. Anyone else get a notice?
wow...lots of "I got this but I really wanted that..." what a bunch of ungrateful bitches. would you rather not have the chance at all?
DOUBLE thank you! I would have been happy with anything! I got my #1 choice but it was only my "#1" because it was the first one I put on my list hahaha. I would have been equally happy with my #2 (yeah there's a pooh joke there.) Especially at these prices! Mori and his crew of misfit helpers rule. Thanks guys to all who are making this happen. Keep it up. I'm also grateful for all the info the blog slips out.
I missed the sale entirely, but it's still awesome that it happened. and a month ago there was no "Real Head USA". It's not like they have to do it.
Just to play devil's advocate. It's not like people have to buy RxH toys or support Mori, or any other toy maker. It is a new world, there are so many releases these days competing for collector's dollars that you probably have to put in an extra effort to make your toys accessible, otherwise with this yen exchange you're going to get skipped for the guy who is selling to the US. Obviously Mori is doing that, I'm just saying, I think it's good business and more a necessity than a saintly act. On top of that, it seems like a lot of collectors have traded in the buy it all and hoard it mentality for a smaller more tightly groomed collection (myself included) For whatever reasons, space, money, priority. So I can understand a certain piece not fitting as nicely as another, I didn't enter the lotto, so I don't care. Just arguing the other side. I just think these trade propositions sound pretty fair, trading among each other, offering up the difference.
I'm certain the economic climate is a factor but feel sure that it's Mori's way of spreading the love on an International level too. It's a win win all round though . . . Mori satifies a larger market with its own niche runs (we established larger runs kill interest a couple of years back) . . . he makes more $$$ and generates more interest hopefully leading to more growth potential. Pretty much following the Secret Base train of thought and keeping everyone happy. Having snagged the items I was interested in I don't really give a rats ass-about all the trading, but that would be a different scenario if I'd missed out because somone had the sole intention of trade-flipping shit before it even landed! I gotta re-read the 10 commandments of Skullbrain but recall one of 'em being something about 'buy whatcha like and don't be a trade-flipping douche!' . . . (although I think I may be paraphrasing).
that's my thoughts about just buying for flipping or just because is available, I don't understand that, why taking the chance to someone else to get what they want? I just went for 1 toy, the one that I liked for ME, for keeping it, not for trade/flip stop hoarding!!! and on another note: I want to thank Mori and Don for doing this!
I have no real complaints, and am really excited for the future of this venture. The Deadly Trio there of Matt, Mori, and Don definitely deserve some big credit for bringing us US fans some exclusive figures at the best prices we've ever gotten for retail RxH, and a great variety of initial offerings. There's obviously going to be some anxiety; however, with so many cool things being offered at once to far more people than there are toys.
Regardless of some of the more asinine comments, I'm fricken stoked about all this. The ability to get some RxH at some killer prices here in the US is awesome. And for them to be handed by this crew is top notch. Kudos to all involved.
Can't hotlink the image directly, but had this bad boy hand-delivered by a mutual friend... couldn't be happier! I can't wait to see it glow tonight http://twitpic.com/33pu8z
