is martin making bootleg ojos again? i got mine in feb. at the rock n roll fantasy show at grass hut. he was in the shop for repairs over the summer.
I remember it being fairly similar. The only reason it struck me, was because I remember the version at the Grass Hut show. I was thinking, WOW, I am surprised no one bought that! Now, the real possibility is that the custom was done by someone else--and he/she made two, and M.O. got one of them. (At that show, most of the GH folks, like Scrappers, Bwana, Arbito, Le Merde, etc., all did custom Ojos.)
Everyone knows my score of the year (GID Marmit Woo): I'd say close runner up's would be the Sunguts GID Caveman, Thrash Out Gargantuans, and the Target Earth Gamerudon I just won.
Wow BOB.....that is THE BEST Cococroc I have seen. Congrats on the score! Too many favorite scores to post, but here are some of them... But the BEST of the Year by far....
damn henry, you got some nice scores this year. im still waiting on a HP version of the last score man.
Still can't quit looking at this: Nice scores, guys. Especially those of you with newborns this year!
That Gargamel Hedoran GID TrashOut 2nd Anniversary rules... this will definately become a thread to revisit!
you've got some luck, first the incredible score but then the repairs, I've been trying to get my painting repaired(properly) since the rock n roll fantasy show.
I have been very fortunate this year scoring several excellent pieces. I don't like to use the word "grail" but I have been after some of these, or just waiting for them to show up when I have the cash, for close to 15 years. Hope you enjoy them. Marusan Archaelon that completes my Marusan dinos from One Million Years BC (this is not the recently sold one with all the writing on the bottom), Marusan Hyata, and Bandai giant (38cm) RainbowMan Dash 2. Completed my Nitto Yokai set. Bullmark Bello Bello (right) to go with the Gari Gari I picked up on my trip to Tokyo last year. This cool bowling set by, I think, Masudaya. I first saw this set in the first Hyper Hobby mag I picked up about 15 years ago. It was shown in those magical back pages that featured photo ads for Japanese toy shops. I always thought this set would totally rock, and it does. And, finally, the Masudaya talking Irutan with box and life preserver. It even has the tag on the pull string.
Mark, Your collection continues to blow my mind! The bowling set...I would have to say GRAIL! (how tall are those pins exactly?) Marusan Hyata...really want to find this...great score! For me, the Nitto Yokai are really something too.
Ahhhhh, Gudon's happy expression translates so well to a... bowling pin. They must have used Bullmark molds for the heads?
The bowling pins average about 25cm tall. They look like Bullmark molds but are actually original sculpts. I looked on the bottom of the pins (duh) and see that they were made by Yamakatsu. Let's see some more scores...
This would have to be my score of the year. My orange/blue Bemon and my Camo Bemon would be runners up!
Ahhhh....I remember my love affair with ceramics.... Matango rules. Could possibly replace my garden gnomes...
that matango is sweet! who that done by? and what is the size on that? it looks kinda big, but i noticed articulation like a mini....
that is a wonderful ceramic matango done by polyestercowboy chk out his site: http://www.munktiki.com/
