We have a local root beer here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Webbers root beer. It is my favorite. We also have a place called "pops" They have more bottled soda than anyone. I will have to do a rootbeer check. Webbers man, It is the best....
In New England, we used to get homemade root beer that was uncarbonated. Like a thin syrup, that stuff needs a bit of ice. I'm a big fan of the slightly sharper birch beer. New England is also the home of the fabulous tonic known as Moxie. It is equally loved and hated as a beverage. It is a stiff soda for sure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moxie_soda I will definitely test the outcomes of this challenge when I can.
Late to the party but definitely can endorse Hey Song Sarsaparilla. The regular is pretty easy to find at most asian grocery stores. To be honest I don't know if I've ever had sarsaparilla that's NOT Hey Song.
any updates on the brackets? Favorites...total waste of money...I just bought some that are on the list to try out and see what is worth the money.
i miss this stuff SOOOOOOOOO MUCH! years ago i could find it in ant stop and shop in new england and then it dissapeared. maybe i can still buy it online...? edit...BOOM! www.buymoxie.com
oh they have that here in the city toby. it's not on the south shore much anymore though. probably in specific sections that still have some demand.
Tried Virgil's and Hank's this weekend. My personal preference is for not-too-sweet and for that reason I might like Hank's a little more. Both are excellent though.
Just cracked opened a bottle of Goose Island Root Beer. They're from Chicago but I found it randomly at a yogurt shop last night. Not some bad stuff.
What are some of the front runners? I'm going to BevMo or Galco's soon and wanna get some to restock the icebox.
two of the top four seeds have been knocked out. a few that have made their way to the sweet 16: berghoff's dad's stewarts abita & captain eli's i'll try and work on a full report tonight
