special rules for special snowflakes
I just got yelled at by my fiancé for laughing hysterically at this and waking up the baby..
Watch this quick before The Man takes it down!
Don't let him catch you eating them.
Don't let him catch you spending $19.99 on a teeny box of chocolates.
Yes, kids, your two favorite things are back together again; off-brand D&D and improv comedy! Heh.
Sounds so bad on paper...
HarmonQuest just started up their 3rd season on Sunday and the first taste is free! It's pretty fun.
So is all of season 1, but the rest is pay to play. I'll probably wait until they've spooled out the majority of the new adventures, as I remain unconvinced that VRV is worth dropping scratch for year round. They're welcome to a month or two of my dollars, though.
Join me or don't!
^ Anybody else? Good fun this year, and I have a new crush in Jess McKenna.
I've been avoiding all R&M news and the potential spoilers that come along with it, but my media wall was just ruined in the best way: New season starts on the 10th! Maybe I'm the last to know, but WOOO-HOO!
Enjoy this other piece of old new again while we wait:
I watched the new episode last night, it was definitely worth the wait! My mind was completely blown, I can’t wait to watch it again to pick up on all the things I missed the first time.
"God dammit, when did this shit become the default."
"Where's my Boglin?."
That hit the spot, what a great episode. If they're all like that it might take away the sting of it being a shorter season this time.
I watched the new episode last night. It was fine, but nothing special by rick and Morty standards. I had honestly forgotten about the show and didn’t realize the premiere had come around. I feel (and my wife thinks I’m wrong) that the ship has sailed on R&M, people have moved on from it since season three ended. The crazy mainstream popularity has gone I feel in the long interim between seasons. I’m sure it’ll be a good season and I’ll enjoy it, but I think R&M popularity peaked between season 2 & 3.
I agree with your wife
Dug it, excited for the rest of the season. Lost my shit at the Akira bit too
I love R&M but as a high school teacher I am so bored of teenagers and popular culture loving it. I am one of those grumpy men who can't stand when things get popular. Hearing my students say wabalubadubdub and pickle rick make me so annoyed. I wish this show was under the radar. It's such smart science fiction with great jokes. Also, since geek culture has gotten popular, if you ever visit a mall (ghost town usa) every other store has rick and morty swag. Too much.
Much like Morty, I can no longer enjoy the heist subgenre. "You son of a I FART A LOT! I'm in!"
The random 6 minute Rick and Morty/ Lone wolf and Cub was EVERYTHING I needed today. Rad as fuck.
Lynx or it didn't happen...
That was pretty good. I think it missed some of the humour of R&M to really bring it to that next level (which I think is why I take this more as a fan-made offering/commision by A/S versus from the mind of Roiland and Harmon, but definitely nailed it on the homage aspect. Nice work from Studio Deen, who don't have a great history with their output.
Well at least something to look forward to:
