I love red vinyl and i think its quite a popular colour used for sofubi. I don't remember a previous thread for showing off red toys, so i've made this one. Just for fun, lets see crimson creatures from your collection!
I threw in Oodako as a bonus. It’s flesh vinyl, but with heavy red sprays which must have been inspired by this other scheme.
Yeah, I already cheated too, Satan King on the right is the same! ... I just liked the photo too much. I swear I'll only post actual red vinyl from now on
It's funny; i can't find a clear red Oni to save my life--but i found this one That's what makes this hobby fun.
I traded 1 of these away for another Bwana figure (like a damned fool). And I'm angry I'll never see it again.
This more or less exhausts my red vinyl treasures at the moment. There was an unpainted red Shintosan that i had many years ago. it made me a believer of red vinyl. Please post a pic if you have one!
@Mark K wins. What is the story with the 2 EP Nerongas? Were there paint variations? I am uninformed. @rattanicus In hindsight, Gameto was such a great design that bridged the gap between the vintage look and the 'new school' kaiju from (new) Gridman/Dynazenon. Too bad they did not produce more than a few versions. Like a number of overlooked toys from those years, I think it just came at the wrong time (economy, sofubi collecting burnout, volume of new releases).
There is a lot of variation in the EP Neronga sprays. Most are closer to the one on the right. I just think the one on the left was the result of the painter having a little fun. There may be more like it but I have never seen another.
