I was searching and searching but could not find a dedicated thread for Garamon collection pics? Can't believe this popular guy does not have his own thread. Recently I've gone a bit Garamon beserk but what's not to love about him? Here's my growing brood: Strangely it appears that every Garamon/Pigmon I've acquired is almost a fraction taller than another one in my collection: Anyhow let's see those collections!
Having gotten to paint a couple recently I've gained new appreciation for these guys. Love the photos.
Thanks. Oh man I moved into this apartment 4 years ago and with no help from movers. Had to carry up 15 boxes packed with 100's of records. I almost died. I think I was in bed for 2 days not able to move after that. I've thinned the collection slightly from selling some but next time- MOVERS!
Wow, it is kind of amazing that this thread doesn't already exist - Great pics, way to inaugurate it, Chris! I know I've seen some fantastic photos of GaraMike's collection of old, but can't remember where he posted them... Anyway, I have to wait until my Butan additions (and maybe a fresh snowfall) arrive and I'll snap some photos and join in.
I think we were all scared of starting this thread for fear of where Mike would take it Great shots Chris. The Buta Omega is the favourite of my collection, worthy of much better pics than I can do. More Gara-love for everyone!

I've recently fallen in love with Garamon, so I've only got this one (for now): Marmit • Giant Garamon by bansheebot, on Flickr Chris -- Can you tell me more about that giant sized Pigmon (or pink-ish red Gary) in the back left? I don't think I've ever seen him! What a beaut. +1 on the moving records is torture. I have a 4x2 cube expedit and it's only 3/4 of the way full. Moving it all recently was pretty awful.
Bansheebot, yeah I've been admiring your Marmit Giant Garamon. I've seen it in other color options but can't pull the trigger because I like yours the best LOL. The pinkish Pigmon in the back is by Marusan. Not Giant sized just standard. Think he came out 2008? It's actually a milky reddish clear vinyl painted. Anyhow I've also seen it clear painted vinyl, black vinyl with red/purple, black vinyl with green, black vinyl with blue, blue garamon colors, and I almost shit the bed when I found this painted glow version by M1 honcho Yugi (albeit sold out) on Mandarake:
Yeah, noticed your obsession, Chris. Its ok its healthy Here's one from a few years back. Need to update soon.
Duh, I should have known that. I was recently eyeing a version of that sculpt, but that red one looks really nice. I love the roughness of his ridges. I guess the perspective of the others in the shot made him appear giant to me. Anyway, thanks for the info! Geez, there's too many great Garamon sculpts out there. The crudeness and texture of a lot of them, including minis (Nostalgic Heroes comes to mind) is exactly what I look for in toys.
I was alerted to the existence of this thread this morning via Google alert... warms my heart!! Great groupings, everybody! Paul, I agree... that chunky little Marmit Gary (on the far right in Paul's top pic) is one of the all-time best... been on the hunt for him and his green bro for a while now (both flew the coop in my late '08 Big Sad Gara-Sale ). Speaking of my old Gara-mega-collection: http://skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=16474&hilit=best+collection+in+ages Alright... back to the basement... home stretch on the Garamike head construction! Whew!
The Nostalgic Heroes were my favourite sculpt of big G, right up until the recent Buta Omega was released. I really love how 'crude' the figure is, really capturing that vintage feel. There was also a ramen premium that was very similar (have to track down a pick of that guy). Congrats on having the three of them.
Nice assortment and pic Choon. I know the Butanohana Pigmon is high on many toy nerds list, but really when I see them all standing next to each other, I do like that new Garamon the most. Then again Butanohana is going to lure me into breaking the no spend promise with the new whatever we're calling 'it' in pink/red.
Thanks. Unless we're playing catch up, Butanohana really is great to collect. The releases are spread out well. This new "red" is all painted up, so should be soon?
