Oh my. That's not cool. Sorry to see guys. That paint app is horrible. Will be interesting to see how other peoples are.
Anyone that received their item in unsatisfactory condition like that, really needs to report it to Matt. Even if you cannot get a replacement or a refund, it is important to let Matt know so he can also let Mori-san and Goto-san aware of the problem so they can figure out how this had happen and at what point and have it corrected in the future. We don't want a reoccuring problem.
as some have suggested, i contacted matt directly and informed him of the issues earlier today. others close to the makers are also involved, so i hope we can work out something. since these toys are produced in such limited quantities, i'm not sure i can get a replacement, which would be my first choice. i feel terrible complaining since these are goto-san's. thanks for sharing those detail photos, broke4toys. i was afraid i was alone and being too picky in this matter. did yours not suffer from brown fingerprint smears and bits of fuzzballs stuck to the paint?
i as well sent an email. and no finger prints from what i see, mainly just the weird little hairs all over it. And I know these aren't going to have the most amazing paint jobs but this one is just very poorly done.
I have a really hard time believing that Goto-san painted these, he's a master and knows the correct protocol for handling these when wet, however, mistakes do happen to even the best, but I still doubt he painted them. The right thing to do would be for RxH/Onell to issue a refund or a do-over, any credible company would do that, that's after all how business operates, I am sure they would not leave you hanging, it just takes a little communicating, people should ask for this. I would just tracked-mail it back with a kind note requesting a refund or do-over, then email.
I am also the proud owner of both of these and yeah my green boy has hair on him. Pinky looks fine though. The paint job on the Vegi does leave something to be desired.
he did indeed paint these according to matt. it's been said that his eyes are going bad due to his age, but it could also be that these were rushed, too. no one's blaming anyone for dropping the ball here, though. stuff like this happens from time to time. i don't know anything about painting, so i hope you're right. matt's offered to fix it, but i have a hard time imagining acetone getting rid of fibers, fuzz and fingerprints without also removing the original paint. i doubt he's going to completely strip it clean and repaint it from scratch. however, i have faith and hope in his skills. have you received it yet? would you mind taking some photos of your repaired one from similar angles as your "problem" photos? thanks!
A great RxH collaboration for Japan Only (Goods will be sent out only in Japan. I like them because they're weird and remind me of "Where the Wild Things Are" but they scare me because they remind me of furries.
Hair over the eye doesnt work very well imo. Bit distracting. Wish there was just a bit more style to the sculpt. Interesting though. Thanks for posting Moog.
I agree the sculpt is not perfect - but as collaborations go its pretty cool. I'm just a sucker for anything Neko related . . . .
set of 7 Black painted RxH chaos minis Need some help on something please. Can peoples cast their minds back a bit..... I'm trying to find some info on the set of 7 Black painted RxH chaos minis that were released in 2007-2008. Any ideas what the set was called and if it was released at a specific event? Thanks Hams
According to Fiends Ain't Family they were called 'Rainbow Pack' - possibly something to do with Hyper Hobby . . . . http://www.flickr.com/photos/fiendsaint ... 866128878/
That mutant head rules, he always looks good in green. Too bad Lulu doesn't seem to get much of the good RxH lately
good eye that Mutant Head is soooooo nice...on brack vinyl...and there is a ton of nicely placed overspray that really shapes the figure...the gold mohawk is the balls
