Yes, my condolences to him. He can take however long he wants setting up, we'll be there when he comes back!
^^ Thanks. I think you might have the same set MIB! lucky Sad to hear about the loss kiyoka's loss. Hoping the gargamel crew is able to come back sometime in the future.
And...back. Glad to see they are posting again! From the blog. Not everyone's cup of tea especially if they don't like nike but I'm just glad they are still in this hobby.
Loving it. Didn't even realize the swoosh until you said "nike" bryce_r. I like nike too, so that's a plus!
Agreed on the price being a deciding factor.. I wonder if it'll be more expensive than usual for it's size considering it's affiliation with Nike.
I can picture myself in Nike's board room. -So, we've decided it would be good publicity to add a swoosh to a Japanese monster toy that looks like a Christmas tree. -...
You should check out Katope's twitter, he's posting some really good artwork, like a custom Deathra, and some amazing paintings. I asked him about SDCC and he said he won't be there this year.
I'm sure I'm looking too much into this, but I can't get past the thought of ultimate corporate consumerism in this figure's design to even enjoy it. It's Gargamel though, not that I pretend to know them... Am I alone in this? Again, it's probably just me... I don't know, it just seems like a "christmas in july" drug store item. Maybe if it came with M&Ms inside, even if they have little swooshs' on em, I'd think about gettin' it then. Too harsh? Ha, ha. It's the swoosh that really gets me I think... Side Note : I just realized since I've been on, I've left nothing but negative posts. Somethin must be off with my juju. Time to go right that. I wonder who will be the lucky target of my positivity
I could be entirely wrong (I would be extremely shocked if Gargamel secured a deal with a giant corporation), but I don't think it's actually a swoosh or a real collaboration with Nike. It's just a mouth that happens to look like said logo. It's just Zazahn in the style of Gargamel. As a Christmas tree. With one eye.
Thanks for the heads up. So, I'm entirely wrong... Color me shocked. <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Laughing\" /> More photos: Muy interesante. Kiyoka and crew are obviously extremely talented at sculpting and everything they do. Though this does nothing for me and I'm not a Nike fan by any means, but good for them.
I'm a big Gargamel fan but these aren't really my thing. Nike has been known to do some excellent collaboration work with artists so I think this is great for the Gargamel guys.
Mark Parker loves toys, from what I understand he has a huge collection in his office. So these colabs only make sense. Its a win win for them, they get a lesson in color composition on their product and Mark gets a new toy for the office.
FYI, I figured as much, those boots are called Kaiju, they're Nike's foray into snowboard boots, and they've been making them for years. This release makes complete sense now.
