I wonder if it is not just a reference shot using the old Ikarus figure. While I have to admit that I dearly love the new Zarab postman, the lack of arms is kinda disappointing from a toy front. As a mini/midi it is acceptable, but (only because I am still a kid) I miss that playability of the separate arms.
wasnt popping up for me before Steve, I'm wondering if that old postman is just there for reference too..? autotranslate doesnt doesnt exactly confirm either way.. I dont mind the arms not being seperate, there are a few buta sculps with non articulated arms. and he needed to be holding the box like that, so.... I dig him very much as is. Hopefully that regular ikarus gets released this round too! will be awesome to have with the postman version.
Just had me another toygasm looking at all those upcoming Buta releases. I dig the Zarab postman but am more excited for a shot at the Icarus postman. And the Zazahn-hubba hubba! Here is my wishlist list for Buta sculpts, I will keep it short and sweet: Sanda & Gaira! How flippin' cool would THAT be?!?! EDIT: I see those on Lixx's wish list as well from a few pages back. I second that request wholeheartedly.
I'd be happy if he stayed in Tuburaya-land forever, but if he must go Toho... Frankenstein and Baragon Gorosaurus, Mechanikong and a licensed Kong The Bat People from Latitude Zero Pretty sure I've said all of the above before. Lixx style!
Did not connect Mechara to the Bat Peeps..but you are right about the resemblance. So much recycling of costumes, characters, etc. anyway from series to series, it would make sense.
I wonder what ever happened with the Gorosaurus proto Oohashi teased a few years ago? He and Mechanikong top my Buta Toho top wants list...along with Mecha Godzilla... and King Ghidorah.

Yup a superstar lineup! But is Icarus new or re-issue? That's an old color scheme but I didn't see Icarus from our database. Yup the astronaut story was really tragic.
^ New release - first version was on orange vinyl. The colorway, however, all but perfectly matches the first Postman Icarus: That could be where your confusion is coming from. Wow. I just can't get over how great this line-up is! Zazahn alone would have been enough to make it one of my favorite release line-ups, but to add Zarab postman and Jamila? Amazing. I just looked too and couldn't find it. It must have been taken down since it was definitely there.
Probably the best release line up in years by Butanohana, and that's saying a lot. That Jamila really snuck under the radar.
