@Stuart Excellent first post. Both of those MireGojis look great, but that new crystal version has my eyes sparkling, wow.
The colors on that Mogurines are perfect. The character has an undeniable "mascot" quality that other Marumon like Bondoraa have. I am regretting I snoozed on that one. The Monster Patrol one-offs are up: View this post on Instagram
Just woke up to a notification saying I won the Marusan factory sample lottery (8 Alien Bankar), which is nice. The purple will match the Marusan Shin Godzilla 2nd form I also picked up. I'll get some pictures of them together at some point in the future
The latest video on Marusan's Instagram gives you a view of the new Marumon finger puppets: View this post on Instagram
Marusan's G-Fest offerings are starting to appear: View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram That 450 Mogurines is going to be huge. If you've seen the 450 Zimella in person, it will have a similar presence.
New Marusan Shin Godzilla 2nd form in hand. This would have been so much better in a bigger size. The sun doesn't allow you to see the green paint on Alien Bankah, but it is there. PXL_20240718_140733409 by stuart lamb, on Flickr PXL_20240718_140812310 by stuart lamb, on Flickr
I think the idea behind the Shin Godzilla figures is that they're going to be in scale with one another.
The new BONDORAA is sculpted by the person who created the Gojiban puppets, they also did the Godzilla that Goto-san is holding in the video and the recent Booska that Marusan released.
@bbb, you may have gotten to check the Mogurines out in person at Five Points, but I know you handled the Zimella. Mogurines is just as impressive, IMO. I feel like the sculpts on these are approaching X-Plus levels of detail and realism, and with the $170 price tag you are getting a lot of bang for your buck. At G-Fest we sold out of both of those to people that did not seem interested in the vintage-style sculpts, it was encouraging because I think Kaminaga-san is taking a big swing with these.
Some cool stuff being shown off at Mandarake Sofubi Fest: View this post on Instagram Behind the Coming Soon sign are a newly-retooled BONDORAA (the old molds gave up the ghost), a reissue of the Marusan Original Kaiju Rojira (no relation), and something I've been champing at the bit for, Classic Zimella, a not-reissue of a toy that never existed.
