I love the 2 headed BEMON figure, and I thought I wanted to have them all. After seeing your pic, I think I have the best 3 so far and I'm happy with that Are these scores from YJA or people helping you out here ?
Re: What I collect after joining this board Or your ability to function with a missing kidney. Damn dude, nice looking collection.
I'd never really looked at the 2H Bemons a whole lot before, but that bi-color version's metallic green paint looks CRAZY nice. Any more / better pics of that Gebora?
Re: What I collect after joining this board Don't mention about my bank account or credit card, no future saving or any. 75% Toys 25%Wife&Son and I always tell myself it's wrong but can't change it. No psychotherapist in my home town LOL so cant blame me all. Need to change my habit but still happy with what I spend. Maybe I'll slow down next year, hopefully after having my first 6months old baby.
2 of my BEMON is from YJA, another 2 is from board member. Personally I think the Red is the best, but you need to look the mixed color BEMON in person. The metalic spot color shine make it looks like GID effect. But having one BEMON is far then enough, last year when I begin joining SB I told myself that owning 1 BEMON will be a dream come true. So I'm grateful to join this board, thanks guys...........
nice start, but do you go after anything that isn't flipper fodder? or are you just going for the gold? Not hating just curious.
After joining SB I was happy enough that I able to obtain several toys directly from the artist or toy maker, such my King Pepora & up coming KingBee King Pepora. Before this I dont even knew there such opportunities. And some I got it with very reason price. But to be honest, there some toys that you can't get it without flipper price and some that you will be happy enough to find someone who willing to sell it even with flipper price.
ah the new collector learning curve at work. Well, buying retail directly from the artist is fine, nothing wrong with that. -but, I think you might feel pretty silly down the road once you realize you have payed top dollar for a lot of hyped up plastic, when the bubble bursts on their "value". Why not spend some of that money on your family rather than lining the pockets of flippers, it's a richer investment with greater returns.
But cant resist coz toys have been my passion since I was a child and never really have chances to own many that I wanted. So now I spend most of my income for it. Maybe I wont feel silly buying all those plastic but sometime regrade for paying to those people. But really appreciate your positive advice, will take it seriously. I really need to start thinking for my family.
" ... 75% to 25%... " Has there ever been a "kaiju intervention?" I must say congratulations on scoring some coveted pieces, and near-fanatical focus. You lucky duck!
Wow sounds like you need to go to collectors anonymous for real. We all have significant others who "don't understand" our collecting habits but you should definitely pay your living expenses to keep a roof over your head first and foremost. Having an insane collection and having to lug them on your back without a home would suck. Not that you're quite there yet but.....
not specifically kaiju but http://www.break.com/index/intervention-new-toy-addiction.html probably been posted here a thousand times before. That 2 headed Bemon has grown on me, but I'm a total miser when it come to toys, and even the Cosmo Night Alpha guy's conversational charm isn't going to draw me to Ekoda on the off-chance of a release.
This coming from a guy who admittedly spent the rest of his money on a GID woo a few months ago, to his gf's excitement
that was enough to scare me straight. check out the kid who took a shot of 2million scoville units hot sauce.
Any money I spend on toys comes after I pay all my bills and usually after I make money selling records etc. I really don't see a comparison? I don't have any financial obligation to fulfill with her. We both lead completely seperate lives with our own bank accounts. The way it should be
This has turned into one of the funniest threads I've read in a while. OMG...chock full o' classic one-liners, eh.
Do like the topic, don't mine anyone talk about there experience about spending toy or how to manage the bank account on this thread. I don't think my addiction is that worst, but that why I try only collect specific brand or line to complete it. That makes me harder to get or to spend my money. If not I will die buying all toys that I like, mostly I like all
