Yup, I can’t think of anyone else who is as gracious and generous about his work in this hobby than Rich. He’s on a league of his own and all of the merits, accolades, and copycats he has are well deserved. Watching his work over the years here has been a treat for all of us that see it. A total mensch and an all around awesome maker. Lucky cats that get to collect his works
The random doll eyes Rich used are a fun treat to look at. I saw some that had reptilian lookin’ ones. sadly missed out on this one cause I forgot it was Est and not Cst lol.
I deeply deeply regret missing out on this release now that I'm seeing them. The opportunity to grab an mvh one-off along with a bunch of alt heads (that are essentially entire toys in their own right) for that low of a price tag isn't likely to come around again. I'll echo what others have already said: I'm continually impressed by how much Rich goes above and beyond for his fans.
Was opening up the extra heads when I noticed that the header cards are printed on both sides. After a little mental math and staple removal I found what I assume to be the header for the Fink head. Here's a pic for those who don't want to dismantle their headers.
^Love these cheddar-headed ones the best... great color for that head sculpt. My fave of all I've seen has this orange head and left leg combo, as well...
Just out of curiosity, how much was this preorder? You guys are getting some stunner mixes I am yet to see one I feel ok about, I feel they are all out of the ballpark
Yeah, I think it was $350. I tried to Google an article on it with a price but couldn't find one. Rich did a fantastic job on this whole thing giving a TON of people a shot at a cool new unique toy with a lot of special accents. I've found the doll eyes to be very interesting and varied. Now the question is who is gonna end up trying to trade a bunch of arms and legs like some sort of MVH serial killer to get a blank?
i remember thinking 350 for the size of the figure and the amount of extras was a super SOLID price. not to mention inserting eyes gluing noses and painting bellies. like how can you price an individual head and ollie omake and not see the good price imo.
Agreed- 350 gets you a massive figure with custom eyes, mixed parts, paint and four other solid chunks of cool vinyl. Total steal with today’s prices.
This toy is so #&@%ing awesome. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that some of the eyes glow...! Spoiler
Hopefully Rich kept back ONE part of each color from the release just to drive people bat shit crazy for trying to make solid versions.
$350 is a steal for such a cool toy AND from one of the most renowned artists around. Dang. totally missed this boat (even though I’m broke as heck, lol) again, congrats to all the lucky owners. Lovely toy
So, you(and everyone else) can’t see the bagged/group shot of all the Finks from Riches page that I just posted? May as well take it down if that’s the case...
Yup, Facebook megacorp is doing what they do best, being greedy fuckers. Here are the links since photos won’t display
shit, I was way off. now I’m even more mad that I passed on this, there must have something else that released around the same time.
Every October many of us make the pilgrimage to Death's Vault for Black Sabbath, but with COVID-19 things had to change and much credit to @Rich for being so adaptable and bringing some light during these dark times with Black Sabbath 5. In total BS5 brought: - 3 Executioner micro runs - 1 Sam Heinous run - 24 Fink one-offs (17 King Sams, 3 Grimey Bastards, 3 Frankies and 1 Mayhem) A ton of good collectors I know won their top choice one-offs which was dope to see And without further delay and useless commentary, DEM SWEET SWEET TOYS
Rich knocked it out of the ballpark with the entire lineup. His level of output has just been incredible lately (though it is never short of spectacular). Congratulations to all the lucky winners! Fingers crossed I'll land a Grimy someday.
