Fink one offs should be landing soon.. If anyone here scored, please share photos! be great to see these in the wild.
Thanks so much bud ! I just assume at this point most of SB has scrubbed from sofubi existence. Thanks for noticing. Never thought I’d have my own Be@rbrick
I am absolutely loving the Sam DX from BS5. The monotone and the glow make it really fun to play with. The cape too is a really cool and super high quality accessory. And a shout out to @eckotyper for the knives. I think it's no secret that a lot of knives were lost as well as "lost" over the years. Getting them back out there in the hands of the community and Rich is what makes this community pretty dope. Really 2020 had so much standout vinyl: April had the Science Patrols purple Death's Head which pairs super well with this. The Shirahama Mr. Sparkle and KSK were just masterclasses in marbling and ingenuity of design and color. And the Krampus to end the year is crazy colorful and perfectly fits Christmas. I wonder how nuts those were blank!
The more I photograph this guy the more obsessed I get with it. This brand on his back though is really striking with this paint app.
Now that the smoke has cleared, let's talk about the latest MVH drop: the Jesus Christ of Alien Hunter DXes, the Alpha and the Omega, the first and final run of the Alien Hunter in the Death's Vault colorway. In addition, there were some cherries on top of this ice cream sundae; a micro run Otus, a 2-off blue Alien Hunter DX with glow body, and a one-off SHB body. I went for the DV Alien Hunter run, but alas it was not meant to be. I'm very partial to red and black colorways and I wanted to play with the best odds. The Otus was sinister as all getup too and it is super cool seeing friends supporting one another with these amazing collabs. I'm sure whoever scored that set did a happy dance with some pee coming out. Perfect world I would have scored that set. The blue I really want to see glow! The clear blue vinyl head looks super classy too. The SHB body was a pleasant surprise, but nowadays you gotta have balls of steel to try for a one-off. I hope that one went to resident SHB/Alien Hunter super-collector Denver. And for anyone who may have been lucky enough to score, don't forget in the chaos of the drop that this is the first drop where signature confirmation is required! My understanding is the Grand Master of Sofubi Scumbaggery Sam Dewitt scored on a shop drop, disputed the transaction as never getting it, and threw it right up on eBay. How this guy goes to shows and leaves with all of his teeth astounds me. He does have a cute dog though
