Just received mine today & have only had time to look at the layouts (sorry Brian), but WOW! This was worth the wait. Kudos to all involved. (And Hillsy, I am afraid,..very afraid.)
Yes. I have read most of it yesterday.. I'm going to purchase one for my sister when it's released online at the super7store. We have family in japan and her and her husband go there ever year. She doesn't collect vinyl but she saw and purchased the Super7 Tokyo Underground book and thought that the train station map was the clearest and most concise thing she had seen.
Yes to reading. Not all at once though. A few of the quotes, the Marusan and Bullmark chapter, and some of RxH. Great info that my slow brain needs to process.
I'll be reading it for 5 hours on the train this weekend if mine comes sounds really cool though. i'm looking forward to it!
Wow, it's arrived in Illinois? I guess there is hope that it will be here by the end of the week afterall.
yes, it has indeed landed down in illinois... i'm currently trying to grasp the pure amazingness! (supposed to be getting the house ready for guests, but i've been locked up in the studio reading ever since the mailman came )
Crap - I gotta go over to the old house to see if it's sitting on the porch! I hope that it wasn't returned to sender. Or worse - stolen or tossed!
It's on it's way Mine turned up today and it's unbuhbuhbulievable!! Fantastic photography, great features (i've only flicked through at present so not had time to read anything in depth) and a general all around raising of the bar for toy books. It will definitely get some heavy duty attention over the coming weeks.
Still TBC . . . My hold box haul was supposed to ship along with it but there may have been a breakdown in communication . . . fingers are crossed for a pre Christmas delivery but breath isn't being held!
For whatever unfathomable reason, Cali to Vermont shipping is always surprisingly speedy...these last few posts have me hoping that I arrive home tonight to find a big-ass media mail package on m'porch!
I'm on the West Coast but so far no mook for me... Maybe it will show up in two days as a top 5 birthday present!!!
I love that the cover is based on a vintage toy paint job. I'm already dreaming of the day when I have a whole shelf of mooks in different colors.
still nothing in Tampa FL. FUUUUCKKKING HELLLL...!!! when will my glorious mook arrive on this God forsaken penis of the united states...
