Who might that rather smooth feller in the front be? Any ideas? Has a sort of Pocket Globby feel, no? Maybe no. This is exciting. Do the LBs come in all one color? Or is it a spare parts sort of affair?
I was dreaming earlier. I checked last year's bag prices and they were $400. So yeah, I guess $400 (or more) with inflation and other costs.
I'm also going on record as saying I think knowing what sculpts BEFORE hand is lame. It was more fun as a surprise. Also I wish, again, it was more than 1 set bag, multiple bags, multiple sculpts. That was more fun. No offense to the guys at Gargamel, I'm sure they have their reasons, just my opinion on it.
no, it's kinda spare parts sort of thing. some unpainted painted stuff, some hand painted stuff. some reg. style stuff.... and some figures have alternate "rarer" versions (like unpainted, or different paint scheme) than the more common version of the same figure within the same LB...
Super7 and distros will be able to sell these for $300-325 depending on shipping and exchange rates. They are expensive so if you want one please email me with the subject: lucky this will ensure we order enough to go around. No deposit required, no obligation I just need an indication of interest. glenn@super7store.com
I'm down with the hints at what's in the bag. There's still a big level of surprise as far as colors, paints, and at least one new Character. a new Gacha has me signed on for sure...and I'm into all the sculpts that are there in shadow...so it looks like a much more promising bag than last year's...which was pretty decent, but filled with the (mostly) "supporting cast" of the gargamel gang.
I think it would be weird if they put a bwana figure in there. Since most of them haven't been collabs. Oh well..should be interesting.
That's what I'm thinking. But what else can it be? Maybe it's special because Gargamel will be over in Grass Hut for the show.
Sorta looks like the KAWS bomb figure that came out a while back. Not like that would be awesome or anything. The only thing I can remotely think that it'd be (if it's no Globby) would be the new Dolly fig. Nothing else is even close to being that round. And the Hedo looks like it might be a crawly...
I dont think that figure up front is a globby, or at least the existing mini sculpt. The thing in front sorta has a dress on or something....the bottom is not smooth, it sort of feathers out. The mini globby sculpt is pretty smooth, except for the folded arms. It might be a dolly, but I'm not sure gargamel did the sculpt, and the dolly's dress flares out a bunch more than the thing in the picture. Of course this is assuming the pictures are all done to scale and are somewhat proportionally accurate.
Im glad they gave a sneak peak as to what figs will be in the bag. I wouldnt be planing on buying one(financial situation) if it hadnt been for the Gacha preview. Im stoked to see them all.
wolf monkey! holy bananas im excited for that figure! i was talking with glenn about the 'unknown' sculpt in the front row, and apparently kiyoka showed it to us while we were there, but my mind was so exploded by the rokuron sculpt we saw, that my brain cut-off all incoming information for the rest of that day. i cant wait to remember when i see it! i hope there are at least a couple versions of everything, it would be cool if people got all into trading these with each other!
my guess is that it's a sculpt of charlie brown wearing the ghost costume from the great pumpkin movie.... gacha = rokuron = no fight figs = overall whole package =
The return of the Gacha-Mecha is very cool. I don't collect them (on account of them being so damn elusive), but I have always enjoyed that sculpt a lot. Thrashman is always a plus, but I have sold the ones I once had (kind of regretting it now. Oh well.). Rokuron being in the mix is also very nice. I really think this is the best sculpt that Gargamel has done in quite some time. The absence of any fight figures deeply saddens me. That's pretty much all I was hoping for, so there's no reason I will be picking up an LB this year, but I am still excited to see what they contain.
I just hope the Gacha/Roku/New sculpt come in GID. I worry about the current economy around these parts though, as it seems like the unwanted items in the bag might be particularly hard to sell this year, though maybe there won't be any obvious stinkers this go around?
The "unwanted" figures from last years were hard to sell. Some of the hardcore bought up the guys they wanted quick, but unless it was the Smogun, mini Zag or Hedoran it was tough to move some of these guys. It really bugs me that it's a set cast of characters per bag vs. the small/medium/large surprises of years past. Also I don't like to know what's coming, it's just less fun all around.
That's what I thought, but the Gargamel website said something about January 9th. Oh well, I'll just wait and see.
