to the unimpressed. I have to agree w/some of the others about this sculpt. It's fuckin awesome, very chunky, the texture is like no other toy I've held in my hands especially his back. Just an all around GREAT toy & would get my vote for one of the toys of the year. Again I thank you KillerJ, I can see your love for this toy from the paint to the foot stamp & thanks for making me love it as well.
I think during the Killer J show in Japan coming up. The info is on the flier that came with these 1 offs. Which by the way was a nice little surprise, one of the best fliers I have seen with my name on it
Man, these suckers came out awesome... I love the use of colors, but some of them are a little too abstractly painted for my tastes. Good deal overall though.
Nice HP and even nicer Skinner painting ! So glad people are warming up to this figure, I told you guys in the early part of this thread that once you held on in hand you would love it. Such a great figure, Killer J's new direction is great, cant wait to see other figures in this size from him.
Nice! Liking the yja score, flesh face, flesh hands= awesome. Edit: Joe that is stellar, I think he needs to breathe though.
I think those one-offs look a little bit like the rare clear crushed face hedoran LB, especially Joes one. I wouldn't mind scoring those Mad Max versions.
poor iphone photos up on my personal flickr. i gots the lime green one catty to joes in the original photo. the back of this fig. along with all the paint blows my mind...
My header is the same as Joe's. All are really nice and the extra flyer/poster are pretty nice too. Again, I hope we see some more KJ HP's, fun stuff. I was thinking I'd just pass on the customs show ones, but after seeing what a few folks have done already, I might have to try. The eyes on both LASH's and Max's weird me out, but in a good way, it looks like the toy it self just licked a toad or something. I hope to get some better shots this weekend, at least OK enough ones to show all sides of mine. I'd also like to see mini Sarumon's someday.
The flesh base vinyl looks so nice with Joe's and Lurker's versions. KJ has a great color sense. Mark's and Lash's are just outstanding. A great trio of talent for this initial run. Well done!
Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, and certainly Killer J is quite a gifted painter (the color schemes are great), but for some reason these guys remind me of this:
Who was anti? I don't think anyone disliked this toy or needed convincing. I think people had questions in terms of influence and design.
