I was just confused as to why it would be sculpted so similarly to the Marusan version. Don't really care enough to make me not like it. Like Mr. P said, it's going to be fun to see this character in new colors. I like the Marusan repro too, though, love enough for both version of this ugly in my heart.
Glad to see people warming up to this guy, such a great toy. Stoked to have gotten the congrats email cant wait to see which one I get.
I believe the ones Rich painted up are for the custom show? All the HPs this time around are by Killer J.
i thought these were all the customs for sale. i guess thats what happens when you have poor japanese skills. oh well.
I visit here everyday, probably 20 times a day at least. I do go to KC but it's not on my bookmarks bar at home, so perhaps it's time for an add, so I don't forget to check? Yeah completely missed it, no biggie though. I'll just cuddle my purple gaira for comfort on my loss....
KC and TBS are the 2 places I check almost first thing each day and throughout the day ! Lurker, Joe is dead on, all those customs including the ones I did are for a show in December, and like this they will be lottery. These are all J and I cant see a dud in the lot. This reminds me of the BEMON HP release which I missed when that was going on. All are amazing and worthy of the asking price. Killer J has come a long way in his painting and its really showing.
Yeah, I know I posted it in the "Show" section, but here it is again. More than that, what everyone else get? These seem to be popping up but no talk.
Is that a tribute to something that's not registering with me? Cool as crap anyway. Hope he does more of these "1 off" runs with some different vinyl for this figure. In hand it's real chunky and charming.
I don't know if the question has been answered, but, I saw the "ads" for a Sarumon lotto, yet never saw the actual lotto. How/where? Also, will the December custom lotto be accessible via the same place?
i think the way the lotto works is that you e-mail killerj the day stated for the lotto, and then you wait for a reply as to whether you won the chance to buy one or not. i don't think it is a televised event or anything.
I am not impressed by looking at small and flat pictures of those customs. Given peoples + feedbacks, can someone actually take nicer pics as its confusing
The pics may be unimpressive but the figures are VERY impressive. I'm not a photographer, sorry, plus it was just a quick cell phone shot. I'll try to get some better pics of mine someday, but real life has seriously cramped my pic-taking at all. I'm just as excited to see some better shots of everyone elses. The sides/backs on these are really nice. I've been rotating mine all day at my desk to get a good look at it from all over, lots of nice details sculpt and paint wise. This is not a toy to just put on a shelf and look at. It needs picking up and inspection and carrying around, very nice and fun.
