Kaws x Robert Lazzerini

I need a new tv, so no KAWS.

love the liquid effect these have. I think they look better than the OGs in retrospect. Glad I was able to get all 3. Nice to discover Robert Lazzarini too. Found a new local museum to explore because of this.

 

Regardless of how these were made I think they are amazing.

i dig these and bought them. not surprised it was initially made with some sort of rapid prototype machine.... how else were people thinking these were made?

 

i guess i must be crazy i don't see the big deal with these. Don't get me wrong i think they look nice the whole distorted thing makes it look cool on a shelf, but to be sooo amazed?

 

I had a brown version in the cart - and thought better of it...

These are cool enough - but to my mind, they certainly aren't must-haves...

 

i guess my view is distorted.

 

I can always trust my fellow skullbrainers to engage in lively KAWS discourse. I think he always makes interesting choices for collaborations including the Lazzerini pieces and I happily snapped up a brown and grey to go with my 5YL Companions.

In non-toy news they just released a set of lightbulbs he did for the Stadard hotel.

At roughly $22 a pop, who wouldn't?

And I'm a guy who went for the shit-on-a-stick.

 

I tough it was 65$ each, 22$ seem to be more realistic. My appologies for every shit sticks lovers.

Got my set in today, these are the kind of pieces you really have to see in person and hold to appreciate. They look as if they could fall over any second in my detolf but they are actually really sturdy. Glad I picked up a set for retail!

 

Working in the Lighting industry really makes me shy away from the Kaws lightbulbs. Knowing the markup on them...ouch
But its a cool idea if you like to collect light bulbs.
