Oh my god.....I was wishing for this but now I'm afraid I won't be able to get it.

 

i remember staring at the first two 4 footers and pondering and passing... was too afraid of getting buyers remorse with a huge ass toy.

 

I wonder how the first two 4 footers are holding up.

 

yeah... think i read on the other forum that some are sagging in places. wonder how they are in general

 

So far out of my price range that it doesn't exist.

 

really? sagging for that much money?

i remember when the ghonners caved in a bit and biskup replaced them (as i recall). i highly doubt kaws would replace yours for sagging.

 

I'd like to know too. Does anyone on the board have one?

 

I saw one of the original 4 footers in person yesterday and it looked good.
I do remember seeing a photo of one not too long ago that was way fucked up.
Too risky in my opinion.

 

Mine is just fine, it's one of the first batch.

 

I had one for about 9 months - and it was fine.

The dissected one looks VERY cool, but can you imagine a GID version? Radiation burns just form standing near it.

Hey, does anyone recall teh yen price on the prior releases?

Don't know the yen price but the $ price for the original release was $2500.

 

i saw an older 4' which looked fine, but i thought i had heard they begin to collapse or fold at the ankles into the feet... but i dont know how true that was either. this looks amazing what a dream piece.

 

I could have sworn there was a thread on here that said that exact same thing. That the leg collapsed or something to that extent.

 

GID would be killer. Tho I'd be seriously interested in a black with the day-glo colors

 

Hideout in London has a brown(i think) and i'm in there most weekends, it looks sweet to me.

What a sweet piece. It would be an asset to my house, for sure. GID in both green and blue, standing as sentinels to a doorway, that's what I NEED...

 

i remember 2 years ago, Lev was selling a 4' at TT booth at SDCC for $3,000. Union in the city has one and it still looks really good. Word on the street is that the original molds for the 4' companions were destroyed which is probably why the dissected version was made. All speculation of course

 

Kozik grabbed it pretty early on in proceedings as I recall . . .

Too spendy for me, plus I know the cats would lurve to use the leg as a scratchin' post!

 

He had a custom clear box built for it with holes in the top to allow the fumes to vent out.

 

Whatever opinion you have about his kaju exploits . . . you have to admit that he's on point when it comes to his studio/collection!
