Had some fungi pop up seemingly overnight in the yard. Inspired by the thread I took a few pics...
At a sort-of glance, they appear to be chantrelles.
I have no idea, but I have about 7 or 8 clusters in the back yard... One of the is about basketball sized, haha.
If there's a local mycological society in your neck of the woods, someone can identify them.
Pick and dry them; if they're chanterelles, and fairly certain they are, edible fresh or dry. Refrig the dried ones; once confirmed, yum!
Hi guys, I'm new here! My name's Sophie. Here are some pics I took recently of a few different Salamandos figures by Mike Toys!
Welcome Sophie! Awesome pictures!
Here are some more!! Gorgonzola by Yamomark!
Perhaps a stone mushroom on the right in the second photo from the top?
Love sea-themed Yamomarks, especially Gorgonzola. Cheesey name for a cuttlefish, tho. ; )

I really like this shot ‘cause it visually embodies a kid’s imagination with a sludge/pollution monster. The bike in the back, the neighborhood and the simple, yet effective placement of the Hedorah at the sewer entrance. It’s super fun!
I see it as photojournalism, capturing the moment that thing jumped out of the sewer to devour the kid on the bike.
Finally got motivated to make some ideas into images after it’d rained here for two days in a row. I think if I’d set out more of the yokai tombstones it would’ve looked better/fuller. Or it it’d be too visually redundant. Who knows. Either way, I’m okay with it. Spoiler contains a different edit and slightly withdrawn framing.
Go with what you like; the first version is the killer.
Wicked shot,it looks like a still from a fever dream. I love the way the vinyl looks wet and reflects the environment ;like they've just emerged from the swamp.
@poysntixels Thank you! I’m a rather heavy overthinker so a lot of times it is best I stick to initial ideas. I might still revisit the multiple tombstone set idea, just under different, “creative” circumstances.
@doomboy I’m okay with giving off fever dream vibes! That’s actually a first, as far as a descriptor! The vinyl itself on this quartet is naturally glossy as hell, so the effect of them rising out of the swamp - like waters was quite natural! I appreciate the kind words!
Desert dwellings make for devilish stills.
I know its only January but shots of the year right here
Yeah, for some reason on its own it didn't really grab me, but the scenic shots are on point!
Thanks so much, guys. I was honestly pretty taken back by the responses I’d gotten to these shots. I’m pretty stoked with how they came out, but I didn’t find them exuberant by any stretch, just fun. Definitely wanted to do somethin’ evil somewhat cold for the Lord Leech. ‘Shots of the year’ is one hell of a compliment!
