New additions to the family. Took advantage of the sweet deals at the TAG final clearance sale and picked up these 2 life sized pieces and a bunch of vinyl to customize for Designer Con. I was eyeing that Sludge Demon DX for a few days and decided to hop on it on the last day Upcycled this old newspaper dispenser and added mostly Sofubi and Resin toys. I'm hoping to get a Krawluss in here soon, might have to get another display for that though. From the looks of it, it's huge!
Thanks bigluelok. I have a red one in the garage that I've been meaning to put together but don't really need it quite yet so it's just sitting there. I'm planning on changing out most of the metal and replacing it with either glass or pvc.
'It's starting to grow..' he-he-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh The unpainted Restore red & orange look good together . . . .
I think you're right. I'll definitely keep you in mind if and when I decide to hand em over. I'm going to end up painting those two Restores pretty soon. Thanks bud.
It's a Larry Clark skate deck titled, "Stuff In Tokyo" that was given to me by a friend named Jonathan Velasquez whom which played one of the characters in the film, "Wassup Rockers" by Larry Clark. Here's a bit more info on the deck I just found online: http://store.boo-hooray.com/product-p/bh-250-lcsb.htm
Nice! first time I've seen a Stinkween in someone else's collection. Mine suffered a catastrophic fall.
Yes the T9G Rangeas was on clearance due to the fact that it was slightly damaged. It was more of my fiancé's idea but I'm glad we got it! The cool thing about that is that at first she was against me buying vinyl, then slowly but surely she got into it as well so now we're both collecting Damn, sorry to hear that. It's a fragile piece to begin with, mine came with a crack on its hand.
Out of all the sculpts given the TAG life-sized treatment, I think Rangeas is one of the best translated at this size. Perhaps mostly due to not just being a vertical figure. His overall body design, with the tail and long spikes, make him demand more space. Not the best for shelf display, like the Sludge Demon could be , but certainly great for floor display, which is where he really belongs anyway. The Doku Rocker is absolutely a floor piece. Congratulations on the addition of him, Isaac! It's a shame that he's damaged, but he's still one sexy beast, man. Definitely my favorite paint job of the fiberglass Rangeases. What exactly is the slight damage? Congratulations on this too.
Thanks JP! You're definitely right about the Rangeas, it required a lot of space so it ended up in the living room. I think it looks better there although I don't like the fact that a side of it is facing the wall, the beat place for it would be in the center of the room. The damage isn't quite noticeable from afar but up close it is cracked near the chin (if it had one ) but I intend to fix it. Oh and someone asked earlier what else I got from TAG, and I meant to take a picture + post but got caught up finish up a custom kid dragon. I'll post it later today
