Reddit sucks in the first place - but a group of 154 members with 10 threads in the past year doesn't exactly compare to Skullbrain. Thanks for the underhanded offer. Anyway this thread is starting to derail.

 

You've got it twisted there son... in real life you can have a conversation. Here if the almighty mods don't agree with what you say personally, they can just lockdown a thread and cease conversation or just ban you. Cancel culture at it's finest. Much better to let threads roll out and people can discuss their differences rather than silence things at the height of an issue.

 

I'm sure I'm sticking my nose where it doesn't belong but it seems to me that 99% of the people on here get along just fine have no issues on this board. I think if anyone is continuing to have issues with the way the board is run this might not be the board for them.
As for the fuck you thread, it can go fuck itself. I was never a fan and the fact that it got so many posts always seem to bring me down. There's got to be a better venue for people to gripe than on a forum that promotes adult baby doll collecting.

 

/r/sofubi is ready and waiting for you to remake it as you see fit. Get yourself added as a moderator there, it shouldn't be hard. Or just create your own new subreddit. Send PMs to the people here that you want to see participating there, maybe they'll follow. If Skullbrainers that you don't like show up there, then use your moderator power on them. It's a win-win for you, as long as someone else here doesn't beat you to it.

These repeated cycles of you butting heads with the moderators here are never going to end as long as you keep participating in them. After Super7 ended publication, this place survived but it's a faint echo of what it used to be. It's very unlikely the staff will change, and who knows, this board could very well disappear overnight just like Club Tokyo did. Why not try to build something on a platform with assured longevity?

 

Would you really come off in reality the way you do on here? I’m all for doing what you want but that has consequences. I get what you mean, but yeah maybe this isn’t the board for you? Like the other posts have stated it does seem to be you that gets all the crap, but I thought you enjoyed bringing that on, I don’t know anymore.

I would be more than straightforward face to face - it pains me that I haven't been able to attend something like Dcon. I think by this stage certain members have made a lot of assumptions about me over the years and it's a shame that due to the nature of forums, once you're in that cycle and painted as a bad guy you end up having to defend yourself to not let outlandish comments lie. It's a bad look - but there's not much choice when people say things about you publicly/privately and if you don't dispute their claims then those outside opinions can influence other board members. It's a double-edged sword because you are seen as argumentative or as you put it "self-indulgent" when you try and defend yourself.

I used to enjoy calling people out on their shit - and all was well-warranted. But you're right these days it is much more stressful as I'm constantly walking on egg-shells for fear of being banned again. I enjoy being a part of this community, but if I see bullshit I'm going to call it out. I would post more toy content but 99% of toys over the past few years have been dogshit. So really you're right, maybe it is time to leave?

 

I don’t think your a bad guy, I think you can get a bit unpleasant, we all can. But from when I see it occur, it seems you like to push and I get that. Also at the same time, your taking it too seriously with the whole mod stuff. Is it really worth the headache dragging out a point being rude? I can be rude as hell, but I’m doing it outside towards the people outside. David isn’t a bad guy, go after the guys that have been pulling actual scams in the scene.

The quip about being the same in public was meant as in would you feel this confrontational? Probably too late to be chipping in but ... Glen, you're like a dog with a bone over the mod thing, but its not going to change. Its like that saying: you can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family.

Mods are like family, you can try to reason with them and change their minds, but in the end they are what they are. The best you can hope for is compromise, they ain't going anywhere mate.

And yeah, I wouldn't want to be a mod. Dealing with nerds with their knickers in a twist over god knows what, i haven't got the temperament.

I love it how it's gone from a criticism of a single mod shutting down threads and deleting content has transformed into this petty shit. It makes me embarrassed that it's devolved into this cuck calling me a Karen - not for myself, but that some members here can't follow the course of how this thread ended up here.

Just as you resorted to bringing up Australia's history as it somehow relates to my own personality and beliefs (cheap shot and kinda racist there Emmanuel) now you've jumped to the flavour of the month Karen term. It's become a cycle of members throwing out a mistruth or some kind of attack and me having to set the record straight. Which I admit is a bad look, but when someone tries to say you're the problem when a mod is obviously abusing their privileges here - you can't just let that sit.

It has de-evolved into this because you enjoy the drama, every post from you is usually argumentative or being a jerk. Which I enjoy, I’ve liked plenty of your posts you can go back and see. I don’t know what other issues you have going on. But I have plenty. So it really fucking irks me when some random that put on a show a few times, made a toy, and draws, is calling a great human being that is taking the time to oversee a free service that unites people that are into the same stuff. He cares about people and toys, I honestly can’t tell what the fuck you are into other than paddlin balls.

I definitely think your life is feeling kind of whatevs to you, so you want some spice and you try and get it here. I’m not going to bother going back and pulling them up, anyone can do that.
