Well they're not for the correct body but finally my guy will have some gear! Thanks to some awesome gifting from a friend!:
All I'm missing at this point it gloves, well those and Devil Bado nodder. Admittedly I haven't been really hunting much lately, trying to focus on my own toy production has taken most of my attention and cash.
A board member asked me to make up some repro missiles for him. If anyone else here needs them hit me up, and we can all share the costs of the molds. I'm not going to me making any money on them, just looking to cover costs. Probably somewhere in the region of $2 each missile.
Are you glove and boot casters looking to turn out more pieces? I don't have any astro mu, but I'd be happy to experience the series in any way possible...even if it's a pair of gloves that I can stick onto an unrelated but lucky recipient.
Whoa, wait whose casting gloves and how did I miss that info? If someone is hit me up I'm interested for sure!
I'm not really cranking out boots and gloves for money. It's a huge pain and hand slushing yields inconsistent results on small pieces. At best they are expensive stand ins that aren't of really high high quality. For me it was more of a mold making and hollow cast experiment. Those 3 weapons came out the best. But a lot of them get air bubbles of have some weirdness. For instance - this devil bado weapon has a massive hole in the center of the blade. Totally perfectly ruined. You don't know until you demold. Even if you do all these tricks to get air bubbles out - it's still a crap shoot. Out of all this work and money only a handful of decent parts happened. And even worse, The Devil Bado weapon for Warren has paint flaking. I used monster color but mixed my own brown. After a few days of curing i tested it out for flexibility and fit, and the paint wasn't adhering. I'm pretty reluctant to charge money for these due to their unstable nature.
Those that turned out look beautiful. Hell even the one with the hole in it is still pretty damn nice. Sorry it turned out not to be fruitful but result wise I think they came out well when they came out!
I never did this to make money. It was actually very fruitful for me. Mondocoyote was super generous to me and traded me my original mars man weapon and glove and some cash, and I ended up with a complete Saturn Ace, an original chest cover for Ultra Earth, and a great repro weapon + glove for astro earth too. And a boot! So I reproduced the Marsman weapon and glove for me. It came out good. It was hard work, but well worth it. Warren was nice enough to loan me some other weapons in exchange for a devil bado weapon repro job. So all in all... Everyone has had some good results. I'm tempted to just send the weapon to warren and have Matt at monster kolor figure out the best paint app.
I meant fruitful in terms of being able to output a lot of parts not financially. Glad you were able to get a lot of stuff going with it!
The extra Earth Myu will be up for trade / sale. I need jupiros weapon and boots and mars man boots. And of course - the elusive devil bado.
If you are a VERY lucky guy probably can find one figure around 400... and probably incomplete. But usually they fetch more.
It sure does. Jupiros is also rocking Astro Earth Boots. The Devil Bado weapon is only one of my repros. It'd look so much better on a devil bado. As the legend goes according to Warren, he needed a repro done as he sold his other original one to you...
Really? I am not sure about that. I got my spare weapon on yahoo ages ago. Hmmmmm.... That said the unpainted black weapons look awesome.
Maybe I just wanted the person that Warren sold a Bado weapon to to be you? Black Myu weapons... Astro Meaner 5?
