Leaves delivery notices without even bothering to come to the door for my sig! ARRRRGHHH!!! I taped the damn thing signed on the front door and still LEAVES the final notice in the mailbox! Now my new Boogie from Hiro is on it's way back to Japan! I HATE LAZY PEOPLE!!
Go to the post office bright and early Monday morning. You might be able to still catch the package. This happened to me before and I was able to get it before it went back to Japan. Postal employees are naturally lazy, so it might take them awhile to get it back in route to Japan.
Yeah I agree go to the post. I had a box sit there for 2 weeks after the date it was supposed to go back to Japan. The last thing they are gonna do is hurry to fill out paperwork to get things shipped out.
I've had postmen leave the slip without even trying the door. I actually watched the truck pull up, put mail in the box, drive away, I go get mail, pink slip, me all "wtf?!" So I called and talked to every manager I could about it. One even hung up on me. I kept calling, all within a 20 min span of time, telling them what happened. In the end one asked if I wanted to have someone deliver it, I said "NO I'm gonna go see all of you face to face and I want to see the guy who hung up on me. It's not a thread, I just want these people to see me face to face." They said "ok" and in 10 min. that box was at my door. A lot of times complaining to the boss doesn't work for me at big offices, especially govt. But I guess they didn't wanna see the angry guy they just hung up on face to face. That sucks Robert BUT I hear it's worse in the UK so I feel I can't complain too much. I've heard horror stories.
That's how I got the last notice actually. I was at the front door looking at this dude drop mail in the box. I thought, "ok no re-delivery today, might be cause of the slushy snow, ok cool", I even dug a path when it snowed (which pretty much cleared up by the time the guy showed up)for this fool so the his truck and his feet wouldn't touch snow when he got out! Went to the mail box a few minutes later and whamo, pink slip! My wife was soo pissed she called the PO and all they did was say sorry for the lazy slackers antics. This isn't this fools only bad habits at that. This guy has numerous times left packages at someone elses door. It's a good thing my neigbors are close knit and we bring mis-delivered packages to each other. It's why I have to request delivery confirms for stuff I buy here on the BST sometimes. I'll go to the PO first thing Mon. Thanks guys I just needed to vent. I feel better now after reading others experience and outcomes.
your postman sux. BTW how much stuff do you get delivered? I gave the postman a tip this year for christmas b/c he lugged like 100 toys to my door this year. Also my parents used to tip their postman is where I got the idea. So you got, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" option A "you get more flies with honey than salt" option B Buy a pack of Rottweilers or Pitbulls the Ghetto Fabulous option C
That's what makes it suck more. This guy got a $25.00 x-mass envelope we gave him personally on 09 despite his service. That's actually why the wife got mad. My folks also did the same. We gave x-mass envelopes also to the Garbage crew as well cause they pick up loose trash left by the recycle guys.
The exact same shit happened to me. They kept leaving the notices and not even knocking on the door. I went to the offcie to complain and actaully got shouted at by the postal worker. Then my mail carrier came and threatened me at my door. It was nuts so i went to the post office web page and wrote a complaint. Now the post master has to deliver all my packages and she complains about walking up my three stairs everytime.
I've actually caught the postman leaving a slip in the mailbox--right in the act! and so I walked up to him to get my package, and he tells me "I don't have it with me". So I told him to take his slip back. He can't actually say he attempted to deliver anything if he didn't have the box. I kind of felt a little dicky about it, but hey.
This seems to be happening to everyone. When I go to the post office to complain they side with me and tell me there sorry and it's the carriers fault. It doesn't change a damn thing.
man you people have shitty mail service dont know about what kind of areas you live in but you can sign a letter to the PO that gives the mailperson permission to sign for you and just leave your packages at your door
Meh...seems like the quality of service of the USPS has gone down lately. We do have the same problem but it's hard to pinpoint which carrier is the lazy one as every time I see the postman it's a different guy. Nate and I have a good relationship at our local postal office though. They tend to hold stuff for us if they know the carrier's going to fuck up the delivery.
As long as they do not lose or damage my stuff, I'm not going to complain. In the end that is all that matters to me. The rest is just temporary inconvenience.
Fuckin A. I have this Fed ex delivery guy. He was delivering a flat screen TV to one of the people in my building and she wasn't home so he wanted to leave it with me, so he could get it out of his truck. I told him no, I didn't know the woman I didn't know her schedule and I wasn't going to be responsible for delivering her 800 dollar TV, leave a missed delvery slip and let her pick it up. (Who the hell buys a tv online when the Best Buy 5 blocks away matches online prices?) He wouldn't listen to me, I spent 5 minutes in the lobby arguing with him. When I finally had enough and just walked away he tried to follow me up the stairs and hand the TV to me. I was ready to bust his ass at this point and told him there's no way in hell I'm taking that fucking TV. He got all pissy, told me he'd remember this (or something to imply my fedex packages wouldn't be delivered) and started banging on every other apartment door in the building to find someone to leave it with. Well last week I went to Verizon because my phone speaker is fucked up and they tell me they're going to ship a new phone front to me and to keep the back and battery. I guess they ship with FedEx and I get the missed delivery slip, on the slip it says sign this to have us leave the item. I sign it, attempt 2- didn't leave it, attempt 3- didn't leave it, final attempt- didn't leave it. They checked the delivery attempt boxes right above my signature but didn't leave it. Fuck FedEx.
I've had good experiences with my postman. Always knocks decently then leaves the slip. I usually catch him while he's writing cause I have to run down the hall from the furthest room and could barely hear the door. The post lady at Hesperia was pretty good too. She'd always honk first to see If I was there cause my window was the closest to the street. Only time she failed was when she go my Red Camo Mummy Boy stolen (wich was a huge fail)!
My stuff always (except once) seems to arrive ok My latest Celga box is going to kill me on charges though - just checked online and customs got hold of it They used to charge me now and then, but it's every fuckin time now
If this happened to me I'd be jailed for punching a federal workers lights out. BUT it would be so worth it. Do your job and shut the *uck up already postman! Thankfully me and my postman have a great relationship and he goes out of the way for me.
Went to the PO this AM. Told the guy at the counter what happened. He got the package with a note on it cause the wife complained. PO guy says, "Looks like m man tried the door but the doorbell wasn't working or something". I wait till I got the package in my hand and pulled out my wifes cell. I said, "here's you man trying the door" and showed him a quick vid of the guy in the act! Silence, accept for some of the folks in line going "AHERM". I LOVE MY WIFE, she's sooo sneaky.. Anyhoo the Boogie is safe at home. THANKS HIRO!! I'm going to the flower shop on my break and cooking the missus her favorite Teriyaki steak!
I feel bad and my Post Office is 30 metres from my door, opens and 7pm and closes at 7pm and they sign for all my parcels and I just have to pick em up from there. Same as the UPS man etc... they just know me by now that I am never in and just to leave it at the PO. Last place I lived though was horrid as the Postman like many people here didnt even bother bring the parcel and just drop a note to go pick it up Its the customs charges I hate more these days
I find that it's best for me to call the post office after the first notice and have them hold it and I go and pick it up. At my old place our postman was awesome and a really nice guy. He would stop me on the way to my car if he had a package for me. I'm still feeling out our current postmen as I've only had a couple packages delivered.
You CAN punch the FedEx guy. He's not really a "Federal Govmint Employee". Kinda like the "Federal Reserve" private banking tyranny.
Our local post office are cool. Unfortunately though, i've never had a single parcel delivered to the door. Always the ticket in the mailbox. When I go to pick up parcels before opening hours at the mail window they can never find my package/s. I don't think they have a very good filing system. Sometimes it takes them a day or so to find my stuff. They know me by site now so i never have to show ID The morning and day crew both got chocolates for Christmas
