Very cool but seems like a big waste of plastic material and a very timely and tedious process to have to make a disposable mold for every pull. He could have a metal mold for that figure made in China for probably 800 or less. So I’m not sure if it’s really worth this. I wonder if he could 3D print a reusable mold and pull the vinyl out soft with pliers like they do at the factory. You can also 3D print metal from places like shapeway. Those machines are much too expensive to buy for home use. Not sure what it would cost to 3D print a meta mold but that could be an interesting alternative to the traditional electroplated mold as well.
