HATERS

I find it interesting that some people who have always hated on the haters have a new found "This is Skullbrain." outlook since the influx of people has gotten even worse.

 

just don't call me bro, brah. I've always found the concept of 'haterz' to be ridiculous & an excuse to avoid negative critique. I think a negative reaction to things is often necessary. I don't want a bunch of cheerleaders running around all the time.

 

Haters are people who hate for no valid reason, often out of jealousy. I don't find that constructive at all. Being a douche nozzle for douche nozzles sake has never helped anything in my opinion.

 

I dunno, I hear people call people haters all the time just because they don't like their stuff.

 

While that is true, I do think that is a misuse of the term.

I think the only people who use the word hater without cringing are passive aggressive pre-pubscent needledicks who send anonymous hate via tumblr but puss out when they face any ounce of criticism. Legitimacy and using the word hater just doesn't mix well.

 

Whether you call them haters or not, there are certainly people out there who constantly look for someone or something to talk shit about in order to boost their self esteem. Is it an old, played out and overused term? Sure but there are those who prove that misery loves company.

 

absolutely agree, but I do think that word is sensationalized and dumbed down to a lame slogan that you can can find on a tshirt from the boardwalk.
There's more to it - but it's simplified for a culture of simple minds. Calling someone a hater doesn't have the same sting as it would to tell someone they have a plethora of insecurities and self esteem issues and a god complex, so why pander? I don't really understand these silly trends.

I understand completely, not seeking to defend it's use just to clarify the definition even if it had been rendered moot by the continual misuse of the term. Now I'm just adding to the length of this thread so I will stop clicking on the accursed thing.
