Carrying this over to the next page. That Paulo is insanely good! I love the contrast of the bright colors with the dark face and individually painted teeth. A run like that would be incredible. Right side Jeff is a beast too. These guys looks so damn good ganged up, Bwana!

I'm also really into these new suit dude sculpts -- I am imaging some really neat possibilities with the mushroom head being clear, and tinseled out, all that mess. It'd be fantastic.

 

Speaking of Paulo.. the more I look at this guy the more I'm in awe of him!

Thanks guys. Doing WAVE ONE sales this friday for piles of old and new goodies, part one Japan too. We had hoped to see those suits for superset but didn't happen. Soon I am sure.

 

Paleo Don and Morel Black test shots showed up just before I left Japan for a trip to 'merica!

Bwana will have some of each at SDCC time (painted). I'll get a GID pre-order up on my site in June . I'll also release my own first painted versions - in Tokyo in August.

Psyched on how these turned out - and also looking forward to suiting up some of the other dudes!

 

Really liking Morel Black.

Would love to see Tokyo and Hawaii colorways in black suits, and I can't wait for mixed parts.

 

I know the ties are wrong, but with this new bod you could totally do a "Reservoir Dogs" Broadarr set. Although maybe it would come out more "Rat Pack".

 

Beyond excited for Paleo Don and Morel Black! These two really came out great and I can't wait to see some painted versions.

I'm also curious about the backstory, particularly the significance of the suits. Are these guys secret agents? Gangsters? Salesmen? Professors? Guess we'll have to wait until a future issue of Big Boy Fun Zone.

Morel Black will have a fullish backstory... Both him and Malba (the other shroomy guy I have been drawing), and way into sound. originally I had made field recording gear for Morel Black, but didn't like the way it was coming out.

Suits... suit is classic good times, but it fist came about from a sort-of nightmare dream I had about all these Brodarr dudes staring down at me in suits, from scaffolding. None of my regular guys, all new dudes, a mushroom hammerhead, a manta ray, a crab, and a beetle. Dream was in grainy black and white, like watching an old television show, or episode of Ultra Q.

 

Any chance of a pre-order mixed parts mystery deal for the corporate/suit/secret agent Brodarr series in the same style of Cyborg Stardust? If so put me down for a bunch!

 

Dang Bwana, that must have been one creepy nightmare, but perhaps a preview of unborn Brodarr bros! Maybe you have to make them into reality or they'll keep haunting you.

Sadly, and thankfully I haven't had that dream again.
Glenn... Rampage is handling the first pre-order for these guys.
I'll have a clump for Gunnzo shinanigans this July with Paul. And as of yet i have no idea what colors we have in the mix besides glow for the pre-order sales through rampage.

Just nabbed both. They're beautiful. Malba bandana is going to be framed on my wall, like jockbros frame and hang jerseys in their mancave.

So, Paleo Don is a continuation of my keen interest in making dinosaur sofubi, combined with (vaguely) the design from the Dino dudes in the OG TMNT comics. In terms of Dinos on a human-esque body, I think protoceratops/triceratopsians work best. Don is armed with a volcano fist weapon attachment - with 3 different skull faces - seemed appropriately primordial. Can't wait to put him on some of the other brodar bodies too!

The name: Paleo (ancient) and Don (Datadub). A shout out to an awesome friend and champion of sofubi for the past 10 plus years!

Pre-order for GID figures will be in June. The mold is at a different Seikeiya (I hate calling it a factory - it isn't a factory) from the other brodarians, so if we do mixy-matchy-ing for a release, it will take some coordination - so no plans yet.

Assembling glow pre-orders all week for Terry, Ugly, and Prenute. Assembly work is fun when you can get it. It doesn't pay though when you hire yourself.

Jungle Goobers. I have three new gravy Toys Minis NOT out yet, but today I'm letting them say hello by offering up the very first painted one offs, along with the first new Boris colorway in quite some time. Maybe three years? Back to the Goobers. I wasn't ready to paint a run yet. I did need to get some paint on these to help bring them to life. These guys happened so fast i feel like I'm still just getting to know them. If you've been on my IG maybe you have seen a couple of single panel comics of them.

 

So, I acquired a Jeff a little while back, my first piece from GT, and he's really great (better than I expected when I ordered it). He's got kind of an old action figure vibe going on that my other vinyl stuff really doesn't (I've gotten super lazy about taking pics, maybe I'll get one up later). There's a minor problem, though, in that if I don't extend his arms forward a bit to balance him, he'll just fall over backwards. Not the end of the word, really (and it does seem to have improved since I got it), just wondering if this was a common thing with these guys?
