@Odibex I have loads of Brodarr boys. I have given almost every one of them a quick blast with the hair dryer. That should fix any potential standing issues. Hope this helps. And to answer your question, yes that is super common with this toy line.

Oh, pretty. It's seems like a few (I don't have a ton, really) of my clear pieces have gotten kind of cloudy since I bought them. I may need to stop buying untinted clear stuff altogether if I can't figure it out.

Just out of curiosity, what part of Baltimore do you hail from? I grew up in the county but when I moved out I first moved to Highlandtown, then on to Bolton Hill. I'm currently on the city side of Overlea, which actually looks more like the county then it does the city.

 

@Odibex Clear will definitely cloud up/yellow throughout the years, even more so if it's exposed to sunlight. I don't personally mind it. I think it adds character.

I live about 5 minutes from Highlandtown, next to the O'Donnell Heights. Don't forget to utilize the tagging feature when directing a comment at someone, it's quite handy!

 

@patrickvaz Huh, OK I thought it was a personal curse I was suffering. Like all my nice art and comic books invariably end up with wavy pages (which is apparently a humidity thing [I'm just curious as to why every place I've ever lived must have been too humid]). I can see yellowing adding character, but personally, I'd rather have something clear-ish than just kind of a grey dingy color. And I think all of these were at least a couple years old when I bought them and I think they were fine then. And there's definitely no sunlight in here. It's basically a bunker. Good to know it is something that happens, though.

Don't really know where O'Donnell Heights is, but if it's close to Highlandtown it's likely I've been there.

As far as the tagging thing, I guess it is useful (I was thinking you got notified if someone simply posted in a thread you had),.

Your jeff suffers from Fall Over Ituss or FOI as some folks in the business refers to. About 1 in 12 suffer from this awful dibilitating condition. Less of the new guys, esp the ones that are painted, as many are treated at my hightech facility here in a cave, in Portland Oregon, underneath the Multinomah Falls.
Because the legs are long, and the feets are slightly duck position, when the vinyl is pulled, sometimes they get out of shape.
If you have a blow dryer, heat up your Jeff, (if no blow dryer, really hot water will work, just takes longer) and slightly over compensate him in the direction you want him to go. Hold him for a minute or two, or even better hold him the way you want for less time under cold water.
I always have their feets firmly planted on the ground when I do this.
He should be much better after this intense treatment

Somehow missed a whole gaggle of posts already answering the above bits. Still getting used to the new forum style. HardDragon, that double pour red/clear jeff is one of the more tricky ones to come by. Good score.

 

Hey, took me a sec to figure out you were addressing me! A couple tips about the new forum: if you quote a bit of text you're responding to (which is really easy, just highlight the bit you want quote and an option to "reply" will pop up. Hit that and the text will pop into your reply box, no fuss no muss. Alternately, you can just type the "@" symbol followed by the first few letters of the member's name you're responding to, and a little drop-down menu will let you choose the member you wish to address. With either of those two options, the person you're responding to will get a notification, so they know someone's responded. Which is helpful if what you're responding to is over a week or so old, and might otherwise be missed. There's probably even more cool stuff about the new forums that I don't know about yet, but there is definitely some cool stuff.

Don't even sweat it. You went into greater detail, and it's cool to hear the actual creator talk about a (minor) problem you're experiencing with a toy. I think that puts us about even on the tip sharing front!


Anyway here's a somewhat crappy pic of the guy in question. As you might be able to tell, he's kind of "settled" And I don't think any surgery is even going to be needed. You lucked out this time, Jeff!

NYCC 2013! I think you can even see that exact Jeff in this post on Vinyl Pulse. I've got one of these guys too!

 

The double pour is so good! You can really notice the extra heft to the figure as compared to a standard single pour guys. I hope there's more eventually.

 

Thanks! I figured it was a limited release. I could t really find any info on it when purchased but I love the overall look of double pounded vinyl. Especially clear as it almost looks like an outer shell! Thanks for that info.

And hell yea I hope for more in the future as well though I'm sure the vinyl is super tough to cut or work with. But none the less beautiful. I wish I could go to gunzo those figures that are being teased look so awesome and if it's true about the root beer stardust blind bags, man. I'll be on the hunt!
