In fact, when I first saw the images of gargamel's little zag and tetoran, I thought of marusan's balloon series, although the proportions were not exactly the same when I got them. The ratio of gargamel's head to his body is almost exactly 1:1.
I got that Katope deathra from YJA many years ago when he is still beautiful. And sold it when he is still nice. But a few years later, when I adjusted my collection, I gave up some 1off deathra, including this one, not expecting him to fade, just because deathra took up more space than zag and mibora.
Comparison of the 2007 orange-on-orange mini Deathra with this year's Zagoran. I think the addition of the gunmetal details was the right call.

there was a very similar lucky bag zag a few years back, just without the green no? i can't find an image of it.
It's cool that they gave the Mecha Mibora a gold/bronze accent instead of the bright gold on the Zag. Still love the gun hands. Wish they would swap them with the Mecha Zag arms from time to time.
Finally assembled the three chibis in fifteen minutes (which I thought was in a respectable amount of time) while holding a conversation with someone who was confused why anyone would sell/buy something so awkward to assemble
