Donated! I want before and after pics of your face. First picture: hope and optimism Second picture: horror and dismay
@coma21 I think my face will look the same in both pics. The second one will be sweatier though. Haha.
Good luck this weekend, Patrick! (stay hydrated!!) I'm a cancer survivor and my dad survived it, but my mom didn't. I used to work for the American Cancer Society, but have never been able to participate in any of the fund-raising Relays for Life because it's too emotional for me. This is an awesome thing you're doing. Fuck cancer forever!
Bring some minis with you for photo ops! You'll need something to do when stopping to catch your breath, right?
Good luck tomorrow, dude!! We will be cheering you on from the comfort of our air conditioned homes Thank you for your effort!
Best of luck Patrick!!! Definitely keep hydrated. Hell, I took a mile walk tonight and was in dire need of a big glass of water on my return... Can't imagine how much someone would need for 39 miles!
Updates! Updates! Haha, hope it was a good bonding experience with the wifey. I'm sure she was very appreciative of you making the walk with her this year.
Haha. I live! I only made it 13.1 miles and my legs still feel pretty beat. Not too bad given my lack of training and just being incredibly out of shape overall. Next year should go much better. Thanks so much for the support and donations everyone. I'm hoping to do the raffle this weekend.
Glad you made it man! 13 miles isn't anything to be ashamed of. Hell I have a fit bit and for a whole day I moved 8 miles once and went "I'm awesome". I'm lucky if I get 5 miles in a day haha. Bravo, sir!
You got your legwork requirement out of the way by organizing this excellent fund drive, sir. The 13 miles was just gravy. How did the wifey fare? I caught myself getting excited for the raffle for sec, and then I remembered that all I pledged was a toy, not scratch! I didn't give to get, though, so it will still be fun to see the results. G'luck to all!
