Re: Dinosaurs -test pulls! Ah, it's a great feeling to wake up and think it's sunday, only to realize a little later that it's actually saturday, and the weekend has just started! Anyway, pre-order for these fellahs is up now.
Re: Dinosaurs -test pulls! "If you want the eyes and mouths painted on your figures, please select please note that as well (no charge for this option!)..." is a damn menschy thing to offer; "If you want MIXED PARTS, please indicate what colors of vinyl you'd like to have in the mix, and if you have any specific requests for HOW the parts should be mixed (e.g. "green heads and orange everything else...)" is plumb crazy! You must be at war with rest.
Re: Dinosaurs -test pulls! Yeah, it's going to be a busy couple of weeks coming up - especially as I pack to move to Tokyo at the end of July! But it's all about people getting the toy they dig In other news, by popular demand, I'm offering single figures as well as sets now. Same deal - mixed parts, etc.
^^^ Jon lives, designs, produces and assembles in Japan. Ships from there, too. And he's far from the first boardie to show off process photos of a new toy he's making, nor the first to mention a pre-sale, a pre-order, or any number of other avenues one might go down to acquire a particular personally fashioned product. Nothing off precident is going on here - relax.
^^^ Post, then delete your post, then repost something more. Just saying............ Shoulda done a "quote message"
My deleted post was about something entirely different that became a moot point within a couple of minutes - after I got rid of my useless post I noticed yours and felt I should comment on it. Do you mean that you should have quoted my first unrelated comment? Confused. Anyway, no offense intended, liquidsky - I just don't take issue with this thread. I don't collect Jon's work but feel he has every right to talk about it here at SB.
Thanks toothaction and Blurble! Just sharing what I'm doing here, and I'll keep it at that. I just got color samples in, and they are looking nice! Great contrasting colors First painted batch willl be an exclusive at the Dragatomi booth at SDCC. I'll get pics of those up soon.
Fantastic. The colours definitely came out great, so bright and they work so well together. I love the way the subtle twisting of the arms/heads/necks gives so much personality to your sculpts. I can't wait to pick up a set.
this isnt a stab at you or your creations, its just the first place my mind goes to when seeing the t rex. it would make a cool release though.
Hah! Funny Micheal! First painted purples will be at the next Akiba One Up 'Pandemonium' show - going with a 'sea slug' color scheme The SDCC batch is on it's way to CA - hopefully EMS works it's magic... Also - yes - this orange is great! Brighter than I had thought it would be - but that's a good thing. Matty ---> Flesh - it will happen of course - can't order a million things at once though...
First painted run - on their way to SDCC! These will be at the Dragatomi booth - #4935 - along with all my other stuff.
The painted guys came up great Jon. Everytime I see your ankylosaur alls I can think of is how much I want to keep opening up his armour plate and hiding things inside him
Shark teeth? Pebbles? Frog bones? Craizins? Dried ants? Pepper flakes? Ginger crystals? Dark Crystals? Fraggle toes?
Ha! Actually thought about it as a little 'tooth fairy' box to put under your pillow Fragile toes? Those seem rare....
Thanks man! Painted orange will be up for Wonderfestival (7/29) then on-line after that. Next week I'm painting a pile of these guys! How about 'gotta love the baby!'
Haha. Man I haven't thought of this in years! Want to watch it now. Do you remember the Baby's music video? Youtube here I come. AGAIN!
