Death's Vault

Hey everyone. New here to post but just wanting to see who is going to the Death's Vault Izumonster show and if anybody has plans. The wife and I are flying in Friday and if nothing else is going on might cartch JB Smoove live that night in New York then driving into New Haven the next day. If anybody wants to do a meet up let me know. I'd love to meet some fellow collectors and hang before the show. Cool.

 

I've really been wanting to check out the space for awhile now, but it's over 2.5 hours of driving if traffic's good. I dislike excuses but that's a lot of windshield time.

 

@MisterYuck If you've never taken a road trip for a toy show, trust me, it's worth it. So worth. Not only is it cool as shit to see the spaces and mass works of art, not to mention Rich setting up an archive of sorts, but the people, hangs and conversations are so great. I've driven out six+ hours one way for a one night show, and there's peeps that drive 12+. My recommendation: don't skip out.

 

I've travelled down to Monster Kolor a handful of times, as well as Clutter and FOE. Don't twist my arm, man! Shit now this just makes me look like a slacker. Maybe if my lady's willing we can make a day out of it.

 

Driving 10 hours from Ohio to attend, did it in October and it was well worth the trip!

 

It'll be interesting to see how far people come out for the show. I'm not a huge fan of Izu, but I'm going to fly in from ATL for Rich's show in October.

 

@MisterYuck I'm sayin' if you haven't! Ha ha. If you rocked those shows, you know it's a good time! Pack a lunch and get some podcasts downloaded for the drive, man. You might regret missin' out!

Yeah I have to drive to Rotofugi 7 hours, and that is the only gallery close enough to drive to. The rest I have to fly in. You live 2 hours away and can't get to Deaths Vault???? I hate you. Lol

Has timing been mentioned yet? I'm assuming it's later in the afternoon/early evening? Didn't see anything on the MVH page or IG.

Right on! Thank you for the info! Anything else that you'd recommend? I figure if it's a 2.5 hour drive, we may as well make it into a day trip around New Haven. Haven't been down there in years so I don't know what's there anymore

 

I always like checking out the Skull and Bones building! Gotta get the pizza, Frank Pepe's is the best but that'll be at the show!
